How do you know they haven't added some weighting factor to the problems to address this? If you know that for a fact they haven't, then I would love to see it. Otherwise, I'm going along with the rest of the business world and accept JD Power as a legitimate source of quality information. Until I see major news sources quoting the "Zoran Quality Ratings", your opinion doesn't mean squat to me.

No, I don't know that. But if they did added some weighting factor, Nissan, Mercedes and Audi wouldn't be behind Dodge, that's for sure.

Zoran, having an opinion is fine, but to actually sit there and call all of these car experts "wrong" in so many words doesn't give any backing. Opinions are not facts plain and simple thats all he's saying.

Like I said, in my opinion they are wrong and I told you why.

So Andy, in my opinion I can't said that anyone or anything is wrong?

In my opinion, you're wrong. I guess we're even now.

You can certainly say you think they are wrong, thats fine but to become confrontational with other members because they disagree with you is not okay, its just disrespectful.

How is different what you and the rest are saying to me than what I'm saying to you?

Ford's premium brands aren't doing very well...
Ford's premium brands aren't doing very well...
It surprises me how ingrained the faults of the Big "3" in the past are embedded into the minds of some. It's hard to dispute cold hard facts as reported by the premier association for said facts. The ENTIRE automobile industry has made tremdous strides in the last decade in terms of quality.
Zoran you have your opinions and that's cool, but your mindset reminds me of people who had the same mindset of the Big "3" about 25 years ago . . .

If the data is just totals, then more specific data is needed to determine the real issues. A water pump that fails or a tranny problem is in another category than a loose piece of interior trim, a googy CD player (Shkaer 500), or a a missing trim screw in the trunk (one of my '05 Mustangs).
It's nice to see improvement.
Ford actually called me and asked me about my comments regarding my '05 Focus. Example: I rated interior lighting low - because there was no category for dash lighting. I rated it low because the cruise control buttons are not backlit, and some other buttons, switches, etc. I use at night at not lighted. Is that a 'real' problem with the car? No, not really. It's just an opinion.

How about member that don't agree with me? They have every right to say whatever they want to me and prove their point and I don't?

Yes, that is what I'm saying and I wrote you reason why. In case you haven't read it, here is again:
Buick, for example, is driven mostly by old people. And we all know how they drive them, so no wonder they don't have many problems.
By the way, what happen with "Subaru is most reliable car now"?
Lastly, the most important issue is that this thread was started simply to share with other members the latest quality report, not to debate whether or not JD Power is an accurate source. You can most certainly start a thread on that though if you would like and discuss it.

Thats okay Zoran. I apologize if I took anything out of context. I like to try my best to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Stepping up and saying your sorry is the most mature thing to do and gains a lot of respect. I thank you very much and really do respect your opinions. I hope you know that.

Not exactly your point. Your point is that JD Powers is wrong PERIOD. He put a big IF at the beginning of his statement. You stated it as a fact that they are wrong. That's a very big difference.

Yes, I said that its wrong but I didn't stop there. I did explain why, because they put together small and big problems and that doesn't tell you if car is good or not.

Sorry for all the caps...I was just trying to provide emphasis.

I always wonder when I see a thread relating to quality how long it's going to take for Andy and Zoran to disagree.
Seriously, I'd like to know whether or not there is a weighting value assigned to various problems. In all my years of driving I've really never thought about it. I just accepted the raw score, and that's been meaningful enough for me.

The point I'm trying to make is that you don't know that for a FACT. Nor do I know for a FACT that they weight the scores. All we know is the INDUSTRY ACCEPTANCE (not just the auto industry either) of the JD Power ratings is a FACT. I find that FACT much more compelling than your SPECULATION.

The choice to accept or reject it yourself is completely up to you. Thats the beauty of it.

Just kidding... I'm just opinionated... hehehehe
