I'm not an EV'r but many more car fires are from gas powered vehicles by a huge amount..... Look it up.

Very true but there seem to be far too many homes lost with an EV in the garage. Those EV fires are so nasty to extinguish. I put out many car fires with just one fire extinguisher supplied to us in each patrol car during my 25 years in law enforcement. usually engine fires from gas/oil leaks. I would not attempt to put out an EV fire, just get the occupants away from the car asap and wait for the fire department.
I cut and pasted this little section from a Google search. "While EVs are less likely to catch fire, those fires can be more difficult for firefighters to extinguish due to the battery chemistry and the risk of reignition." One of many considerations in buying EV.
