2017 Camaro 1LE
Some are calling this car, the GT350 killer. (Not the GT350R model, but the GT350 model.)

I don't know guys,...I'm kinda digging it. Never thought I would be saying/typing these words. LOL I don't think I would get a 1LE, but a ZL1 if it looks close to the same and has at least 700 HP and 650lbs. of TQ. which might peak my interest. "Might". lol
These wheels/tires/Brembo brakes look killer on this car. Needs more low, about a 2.5" drop overall.

I love the 1LE package I just don't like the car lol. I'd have to check out the 16 or 17 to see if they've changed the seating position, the prior years I just could not get comfortable in without having my head about 1" from the roof.
The tech and performance of the new Camaro models will hurt some feelings here for sure.

If I could get the Performance and features of the new 1LE in the the 5th gen package I would do it. The new Camaro just doesn't strike my fancy, but it is a hell of a car that's for sure.

The SS is hot on the heels of the GT350 so the 1LE is going to be formidable.
I'm not really sure about the claims that the LT engine is making more power in the Camaro compared to the vette but if what I read is true it works out to about 480 horsepower at the crank and given the weight advantage the 6th gen has plus the well executed alpha chassis along with GM's familiarity with the chassis its going to be tough going for the GT350 in comparison tests. Especially as the 1LE when its all said and done well equipped is going to be thousands less and not subject to ADM's as its a package option and not a separate model.
GM is simply knocking it out of the park with its new model introductions and the only misstep with the Camaro I can see is so slavishly aping the 5th gen's styling when it should have been a clean break.
Ford is certainly in a good position to respond but the S550's weight and the 5.0's lack of displacement and path to easy power is hurting it. Despite how well executed the new Mustang is this is pretty much a repeat of the early SN95 years.
If GM is going the same route as the Z06, I can 't see a ZL1 coming down the pipe and just a Z/28 pulling duty as the high end car.
Also the Z/28 hasn't sold terribly well. Cars can be had for less than 60k as there are still cars sitting on the dealers lot.

LMFAO
Yes,...the new Camaro is supposed to be quite the car, especially the 1LE. "RUMOR" has it, it can hurt the feelings of any GT350 owners out there! OUCH!!! lol
The GT350R,...now that's a different story.
I actually like this gen more than the previous. It is a hell of a performance car.

And yes,...I'm almost positive they are coming out with a 6th gen ZL1. I am a member on the camaro5 and camaro6.
I'll be honest,.....the S550 still blows the doors away on the Camaro on looks. Whether it be exterior or interior. Far superior looking in my opinion. I don't like the Camaros,...just the 1LE right now. I'm itching to see a 6th gen ZL1 and see what the performance numbers are on that.
The 1LE is supposed to be a better track car than the GT350,...."rumor" has it. Nothing written yet.
