0-60 times

Does anyone happen to know the 0-60 times for the 2007 Impreza 2.5i with a 5 spd. CR said it was 10.3 for an auto which seemed really high!

Thanks,
Andy

A 3 month old baby and not driving it enough happened

I just didn't drive it enough to justify $400 in car and insurance payments a month.

Too bad.
There still can be another one in the future.
In another few decades, (when you are my age) you can tell the kid about your sacrifice and get him to buy you another one.

P.S.
My kids (adults) have no money, so I had to buy mine myself.

Is insurance and car payment really cheaper on brand new Subaru than on 7 years old Mustang?

Very much so.

Mustang $240 per month payment and $260 per month insurance

Subaru $260 per month payment and $159 per month insurance

Then on top of that we got rid of the Taurus and kept the Oldsmobile for a second car when needed which is only $50 per month on insurance now
since we are only putting 5k or less on it per year compared to when it was driven daily.

So all together....

Mustang payment - $240
Mustang insurance- $260
Taurus payment - $200
Taurus insurance - $100
Oldsmobile payment - $0
Oldsmobile insurance (old) - $75
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Total - $875 per month

Subaru payment - $260
Subaru insurance- $159
Oldsmobile payment - $0
Oldsmobile insurance (new)- $50
--------------------------------------------------------
Total - $469

Grand total savings of $406 per month

Enough to put away for a nice down payment on an STI in a few years

Andy, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you get for trade in on your Mustang?

Thanks Lalo. It's peppy. I wanted the WRX but I would have been able to save as much. This way I can save up and get another Mustang or if I want an STI in a few years. The dealer let me drive an 05 STI just for fun after I took delivery of my car. God those things are incredible!

I don't mind at all Zoran. I got $7400 for the Mustang on trade in which was the Excellent condition listing in Blue Book. And I owed $6000 on it so I took that money and ran. Plus the Subie itself only costs $16,395 with a spoiler and foglights added (Becker sells almost all of their cars at invoice save for the STI's).

I was pleased all in all. Mine is in Urban Grey.

I gotta tell you guys they had a 2007 WRX STI Limited (only 800 made) in Urban Grey in the garage area where they keep them. If I would have had the money I would have snatched one up!

Thanks. My family is on their 5th Subie now (6th counting mine) and the only problem they ever had was blown headgaskets on the 01 Legacy. They were just about 1K over the 60k warranty but Becker actually took it in and fixed it under warranty since they said it was so close. Other than that we've had great luck. Here's a list of what we have and had:

1988 Loyale SW (4WD) - Sold
1993 Legacy SW (AWD) - Sold (What a car it was! Sold at 180,xxx miles!)
1997 Legacy sedan - Sister had unfortunate run in with black ice
2001 Legacy Outback SW - Current
2005 Forester X - Current
2007 Impreza 2.5i sedan - Current

Well that's nothing compared to my family bill.
Insuring me and my Stang & truck is only about $150 a month.
The kids and wife with tickets and accidents bring the total to @ $500 a month.
