Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour

Will be coming thru the Southeast next week, Bowling Green(Tues.), Chattanooga(Wed.), Birmingham(Thurs.) and ending in Mobile(Fri). I was thinking of going up to Chattanooga Wednesday and checking out the rides. If anyone else is interested let me know and maybe we can have our own cruise up there. I may just spend the day there if the weather's nice.

I wish I could do it! Last weekend I met a long hauler from 2004 who was on Rides.
Here is Wayne Gil's 70 Nova...

I've wanted to go for years!

I went to Nashville several years ago when it was there, also went to Talladega and saw them as they came down Hwy231 a few years ago on their way to Barber Motorsports Park. So this is like the 4th time they've been in my area. They're never in large groups, some people take the prescribed route, some take the interstate, just depends I guess on how much they party the night before. That's why I'm thinking about just driving up to Chattanooga and waiting on them to show up. It's only a couple hour drive, I lose an hour going up, they're on Eastern time, but I get it back coming home.

If I can get my 67 done I'll cruise up to Chattanooga. I'll make sure to ask off for it.

All I need is my transmission and exhaust. Then I'll be good to go.

You want to go together? If so, why not just take 1 car. Yours or mine?

I might have to stay behind and fix mine. I've got to get it done sooner or later and wednesday is my only real day off this week.

Here's the pics I took at Chattanooga with 1 video. My favorite was probably the early orange GTO with the modern interior and drivetrain.
