I have found them at Target and Kmart.

 

I appreciate it. It seems like this part of the country gets them a lot later than you guys do.

Plus I think all the stores around here are starting to get nervous with all the visits I keep making each week.

 

hehe you could have a lot of collectors in your area. there are people who raid the cases of unopened cars and wait at the doors when the store opens... its ridiculous.

 

TN must be close to CA, we seem to have the same kinda schedule for releases.

 

I just found one this week. I'll be looking out for more.

 

I went to my local KMart and finally found the newest GT-500.

I would really like to get my hands on one of those black '65's. Those are sick!

For some reason, I decided to run up to the local Kmart just to dbl check to see what they had. Maybe I had missed something earlier?

Went to the toy section and checked each & every car. Thought I had found one because the card said "Ford Mustang Fastback" and was #27. I grab the card from the back of the hook and what do I find......I find this instead.




I checked the bottom of the car & it says it is a Avus Quattro?
Is this rare that Hot Wheels puts the wrong car on the wrong card?

Anyhoo.........

Decided to check up by the registers (like Target) and as I go past the last register what do I see??????? A Hot Wheels display with a ton of cars on it.

Finally got the ones I wanted





If anyone is looking for anything other than a Mustang, this display had all the exclusives. Let me know & I can pick something up for you. They even have more of the black fastbacks that I left behind.

 

Congrats Bill. I really want to get some of the black ones. If you could pick up anywhere up to 5 or 6 of them if they are available that would be great. Let me know.

I think this KMart black '65 is one of the nicest versions of a Mustang that HW has ever released. Black and gold.

How come it doesn't say KMart exclusive on the packaging anywhere?

I will send payment sometime this week.

Black/Gold is a great combo. Know if anyone that has a black 05+ that is thinking about putting stripes on their car? I have a set of Gold stripes from Baltimore Street Mods that I am selling. Decided to stay with the all black scheme on my car.

 

I seriously considered doing gold stripes initially then I couldn't decide what stripe color I really wanted because I liked them all then I put a glass top on her and then ... sigh. How much you want? You don't know if they will fit on the GT-500 hood do ya (because of the ridges where the heat extractor vents are)?! Put them for sale on the forum.
