1:18 Shelby Hertz

Quick question: other than Shelby Collectibles, does any other company makes 1:18 2006+ Shelby Hertz?

I saw one that Shelby Collectibles makes, but I really don't like it. Headlight look horrible.

Sorry bud, this is your only option.

Thinking that is just a lousey camera shot, with reflection on the headlight lens there. All my Shelby Collectables look pretty darn good.

Headlight looks crappy to me in this pic too.

Yeah they didn't replicate them too well. I waited til they updated the SC GT500 with better heads til I picked mine up.

Where do you guys buy these things at? I'm just starting to do some collecting.

K-Mart has the Shelby Collection.

Zastava_101 Sep 29, 2008 04:34 PM

eBay and some local stores.

Zastava_101 Sep 29, 2008 04:36 PM

I stopped by my local Toys-R-Us today and found a really nice Shelby Collectibles' 2006 Shelby GT-H. Even headlights look great. It was pretty cheap too, for a Shelby Collectibles, I paid $25 for it.

Dang. They closed the 2 Kmarts in town. And I've been to walmart, meijer, toys-r-us, and target, and all they have are hotwheels, and the ghetto versions.

Search yahoo or google for local diecast stores. I was able to find a really good diecast store here in Milwaukee by doing a yahoo search.

ebay, like Red Star said, is an excellent place to find models.

Sweet find Zoran, you found the Shelby Collectibles' more refreshed GT-H with the nicer front end:nice:

Can't wait to get my Super Snake and KR...:drool:

Zastava_101 Oct 1, 2008 07:39 PM

Is this SS?

Thats a Super Snake.

Zastava_101 Oct 1, 2008 08:03 PM

So what are visual differences between SS and KR?

This is supposed to be a KR.

I'm anxiously awaiting the 1/64 Shelby Collectibles !

08SGT1977 Oct 2, 2008 02:40 AM

hood, stripes and spoiler - KR gets V6 spoiler and split scooped hood, SS gets single broad stripe, GT 500 spoiler and single scoop

big diff is the horsepower
KR = 540 published (underrated?)
SS = 605 warranted or 725 unwarranted

KR is limited but SS is open to anyone with a GT 500 willing to take the ~$30,000 plunge

08SGT1977 Oct 2, 2008 02:42 AM

oh and the KR gets the S H E L B Y on the hood along with the signature gap in the stripes on the nose of the hood where it continues on the bumper and on the scoop

Zastava_101 Oct 2, 2008 03:40 PM

Thanks.

That was great explanation. I knew about a power difference, but visual differences were visual.

BA Mustang Oct 2, 2008 07:37 PM

Easiest way to tell them apart is look at the stripes. KR has 2 maybe 10-12" stripes and SS has 1 maybe 15" stripe and then 2 1-2" stripes.

I am guessing on stripe sizes.
