Your Dyno Numbers
#62
mods: JLT CAI, JET TB spacer, Motive 3.90's, Pypes X, and SCT Xcal2 tuned by BRENSPEED...
1st run: 283hp/276tq (had just driven 40mins highway to location)
2nd run: 295hp/291tq (no adjustments made, only 20 min cool down)
***new timeslip coming soon!**
Gotta give alot of credit to Brent @ BRENSPEED. He's the man!
I still need to add my MAC mufflers and UD pullies. This should put me over the 300hp mark hopefully...

With C&L CAI/Predator, SLP PowerFlo axlebacks (auto trans, stock rear gears):
270 rwhp @ 5634 rpm
319 ft/lb tq @ 3894 rpm
Temp was 64F. A/F ratio stayed between 12.4 - 12.9 from 4100-5900rpm.
Done by JBA Racing, San Diego, CA on a Dyno Dynamics.
[There were also a couple interesting items of note.
First, they made both of these pulls in 3rd gear. It seems they couldn't keep the auto tranny from downshifting when they hit the throttle in 4th. However, during a full dyno tune session, they have a way to electronically "lock" the tranny in 4th gear.
I also asked about the correction factor for the Dyno Dynamics system they use. They said that it uses a correction system that will result in lower numbers than say a DynoJet. In fact, JBA has tested both systems. Using a test car, they made a pull on their own dyno and then immediately took it to another shop who uses a dynojet for a comparison pull. The pulls were made about 30 minutes apart, and the dynojet reported about 20 rwhp more than their own dyno.]

Update: After installation of my supercharger on 1/28/06, my tuner (Adam, S.T. Motorsports) was building the tune himself, so he took a very cautious approach. He started ultra-conservative on the timing and other parameters and slowly worked up the power levels. The first pulls were in the 330rwhp range. Then 350… then 370… then 400 and eventually 415rwhp, and over 380rwtq. The car was making over 300rwtq at 2500rpm, and 350rwtq by 3000rpm. There isn’t a lot of timing in it (15-18 degrees as I recall), so it’s still on the safe side. At this point it was already well after 10:00pm and we still needed to road test the car, so we decided to leave it the tune where it was for now. After we get more dyno time, and add a 10# pulley, the numbers should be even better.

298.0 rwhp / 307.3 rwtq on this particular run (Mustang Dyno)
330.5rwhp / 344.7 rwtq was an "unloaded" run (ie dynojet style)
never did a baseline run, but assuming it to be around 250rwhp (Mustang Dyno)...
JLT Intake, steeda UD pullies, and dyno tune was good for 37.5rwhp and similar torque
adding the GMS throttle body gained 10.5rwhp and 13.7rwtq if i recall correctly
so intake, pullies, tb, tune was good for almost 50rwhp and 50rwtq
and with 4.30s
...now if i could only hook up
...o yeah, outline of the basics:
2005
5spd
JLT (first gen) intake/dyno tune
Steeda UDP
GMS TB
stock exhaust
75* temp, mild humidity, no cooldown (aka waaarm engine), A/F lowest was 12.5 (2500rpm), highest 13.1(5700rpm)

Have you dynoed your car without the GMS Throttle body? I did not have any gaines when I installed mine
what are your experiences with the TB? Do you get a slight up/down pulse when idleing?

yes, right before putting it on. dyno'd 287.5ish rwhp and 293.9ish rwtq i forgot the exact numbers. 298 and 307 immediately after putting it on.
no i dont get a pulse, but i do have trouble engine braking because rpms do not go down

How long do you expect the stock internals to last at that power level?

Just let Doug fine tune my tune from him this weekend. After the first run doug was able to fatten up th TQ real nice. Car pulls great and doug said after a cool down it would probably make a little more. I never got a stock run and my power mods were c&l, o/r H, frpp exhaust.

I went to our NH Mustang Club Dyno Day today. Dynojet Machine.
I've got 200 miles on the car and 87 octane gas. No engine mods yet.
Very happy with 271 RWHP and 295 torque.
