Window Tinting question?
I know when I had my Camaro windows tinted the tint shop told me not to roll down my side windows for 2 or 3 days, now my question is since the new mustangs windows move up and down when you open and close the door is this going to propose a problem when I get my side windows tinted? Any information would be great. Thanks Kevin

Hey Kevin off topic but, do you have a build date yet? I ordered the same day.

I got my windows tinted the tint guy said the moving up and down would not hurt it just don't roll them all the way down. My windows after a week look just fine.

The last body style had a whole row of the dots about 4-6 down from the top of the glass and made it hard to tint. None around the edges though.
Does the '05 have to same dot-matrix at the top?
I know the front windshield is the same around the pony, unfortunately.

Pull the fuse for a few days.
Pull the fuse for a few days.
Tape falls off. Fuses do not put themselves back in.

B) No dots or white rings or reveal lines in side or rear window. Had the dark limo tint done. Subtle mod but it's female dogin' on Redfire. I'll try to post some pics later this week.

I though that you had to have the active anti-theft for the windows to roll up and down with the door , maybe thats why?

Then when you shut it, it rolls back up.
It's suppose to give a better seal.
With the anti-theft you can roll the windows up or down with the key in the lock or just down from the remote.
In fact, that's the ONLY reason I got it.

Oh, and that's GREAT to hear about the lack of dots in the rear!! Thanks.

Wheres the sensor located?
I had my car tinted with 35% charcoal (A lighter shade). The guys who tinted
simply 'Baked the edges' of the tint to prevent a problem with the automatic
windows. But, here is a funny story ..
I was showing the car to my sister the day after the windows were tinted. She
put the window on the passenger door down before I could tell her not to since the tint film was not yet dry. When I went to put the window back up it would come up apprx 3 inches and then go all the way back down on it's own. Apparently the drag created by the not yet dry window tint was making the sensor think there was an obstruction and as a safety measure rolled the window all the way down! Luckily,
my neighbor is a service manager at a Lincoln-Mercury dealer and we had to 'Help' the window up by pulling it up as I held the button. It took a few tries but we finally got the window all the way up. It started pouring rain 10 minutes later! He said Navigator's use the same type of sensor in the window system. Fortunately, everything was ok .. even the window tint. A week later (once the
tint was completely dry) the windows work fine.
