By now we've had a chance to study a lot of photos and text about the new Mustang and probably thought of many nice-to-haves. Relatively inexpensive features I would of liked to see on the introdution include:

* Automatic convertible latching
* An IRS
* Steering wheel mounted stereo controls
* Titanium paint color

What do you think is missing?

Nav system, ESP, park distance control (!), rain sensor, advanced air conditioning (or does it have that already? you just set a temperature that is maintained... dunno), heated steering wheel (hehe), bluetooth handsfree set

Oh yay forgot about this. And 18" rims of course, preferably the concept style ones... :\

I'd agree with the steering wheel audio controls and bluetooth link. I've heard bad things about rain sensors. :notnice:

The concept tail lights look much better than the production ones. I'd like to see these too. I'm clueless as to the cost delta between production tooling the final and prototype tail light designs. This may of been a big cost to implement.

My list:

IRS: Its 2005, not 1905
HIDs: To see and be seen
SMG: 1/4 second shifts to tear up the quarter mile
6-spd gearbox: If six works for beers, then why not gears.
Concept's Nose: Wins by a nose.
Recaro Seats: Recline in the best.

'Bout it for now!

IRS
Manumatic tranny
Dark Highland Green

All as options. I'd buy them.

Emberglo/Bronze exterior.
If not the above, then ALL red cloth interior (not just the seats and such)
Fog Lamp Delete/Reposition
Chrome or bright aluminum around the quarter panel windows.
Shaker Hood

I'm sure some others, but like Brad, the main thing is my name on the title to one.

Where's VB? Surely he's going to chime in with a comment like "Oh great, another 'what's missing' thread!" Right?

Supercharger and 6 speed options for the GT, The stripes and give us the titanium color of the BF Goodrich car, and the stripes, and if they are not going to be anymore Mach ones let us have a shaker hood option.

The new Mustang has to remain "Fast, Fun and Affordable." Two out three won't make it.

IRS
6 spd manual
Automatic climate control (as an above post stated)
Body colored mirrors
Lose the 1980's style antenna
Suble ducktail type of rear spoiler
True Blue as an exterior color
18" wheels at the launch date

I still am enamored with the car and will definitely be getting one, but in a perfect world, I'd like to see the above items.
