Talking

So when my sales guy handed me the keys, he gets in, and starts to tell me about the different options... "Here is how you change the My Color...." notices I had already done it... then says, "How about if you just tell me if there is something you dont know?" I laughed, and I said, "I think I am set..."

On the drive home, I was loading CDs, and setting my stereo to my liking... I found a feature NO ONE has talked about, and its way cool!!

I have the Shaker 500 (A mistake by hubby when he ordered, but, blessing in disguise), and as I was setting the bass, treble, etc, I noticed "Speed Volume". So, I toggle it on, and having no clue what it was, set it to its highest setting. Then forgot about it. As I get off the freeway, I notice the volume of my stereo automatically lowering, then getting louder, the faster I go!!

The only time I hear my turn signals is when I am stopped, waiting for a light, or traffic to clear!

I LOVE this feature, anyone else??

Every once in awhile, I will turn it off, so I can hear my engine,

Jessica---I may have missed a post, but what did you decide to do with your 99 GT--trade it in, Carmax, or otherwise sell it yourself??

Maucoin, I posted an update on the thread... A friend loaned me the $6k (same amount the dealer was going to give me as a trade). We are selling it privately, and will return the $6k to the friend, and use the remainder for Xmas. If at the end of 6 days, we dont have an offer for more then $7600, I will be selling it to CarMax. I had taken it to them, and they gave me that offer. As I was signing the paperwork the frind called and said dont do it, lets try this first.

Not a fan of that feature -I like the sound of the engine & exhaust @ 3000 RPMs

I like the sound position feature -set to "drivers seat" unless I have passengers w/ me.

Yup it has ASL (automatic sound leveling). I've known about it my first day I got the car

I have it on setting 4.

I am glad everything worked out well with the car, I am sure you will have a blast with it this Xmas. Sounds like you have a great friend there. Well good luck selling the 99, have a Merry Christmas and best wishes for you and your family.

A forum search for "speed volume" comes up with nothing except this thread, mr v6 hater. Go back to your hole.

I like this feature. I have mine set to 2. I only notice a single step in volume, but it allows me to come to a stop at an intersection without the volume being overbearing. Nice...

I just read about it the other day but it was buried in some other thread.
In any case....who cares whether or not something has been talked about
before? The reason I come to this forum is to learn and re-learn anything
about the Mustang and especially the 2005.

Maybe Brad should make an '05 area called "2005 Mustang Overload" :bang:
where you can repeat all you want and not incur any wrath.

Good idea, but I like to have info brought back up that I may have forgotten about. Heck there's a lot of things that if I didn't read someone's "re-post" I would've never learned about in the first place. I think the better solution to avoid "wrath" would be for some people to quit being rude! (and FordFun, I'm not referring to you )
