Alright My dealer called me and gave me my VIN number it is, 1ZVFT80N055146913, can anyone please give me any infor concering my car. I know there was a thread concerning this but i could not find it. I'm really kindof upset about this whole situation because my dealer left my VIN number in a voice mail so when i listened to it some of the letters sounded different and so i called customer service to find out about my car and she told me it was built so i was shocked so i got off the phone with her called my dealer told him it was built and then wanting to make sure i heard right called my voice mail agian and discovered some of the letters WERE different, so now i'm back to sq 1 and don't know anything about my car. So any information ya'll could give me would greatly be apprciated! Thanks in advance.

Is this mess up in any way going to affect me, since i called customer service and gave them the WRONG VIN number?! i even called my dealer after getting off the phone with them to let him know that i was a tad bit upset he had not informed me my car was built, now knowing i am fairly sure its not built yet!

Dude, take a Valium. Just because you called to request data on ANY VIN is not going to change, speed up, slow down, have ANY effect what so ever on anyones order. Go ahead and call and ask about my VIN number. It makes no difference.

The last 6 digits are pertaining to production #. So, your car is 46,913. The 12th digit is the change in hundred thousand.....so if the 12th digit was a 2 instead of 1......then your car would be 146,913. B) I don't know how to find out your build date - ship date, etc.

Hey guys i wasn't trying to start an argument, sorry if my whining proceeded a normal leval Stubbies but it is really hard to think YES my car is built and then realize no its not, sorry!I was just trying to find out about my car and i figured this would be the place to find out, i don't really think its right to talk down to someone just for asking a question even if it is a silly one to you, in the future just don't answer the question, it will save everyone alot of time. Thanks Stangnut for takin up for me i really appriciate it! If anyone can tell me anything about my car i would be very greatful!

Just call customer care with the VIN number and they should be able to tell you a ship date or a build date. Typically after you receive your VIN it is a 2-3 week wait.

Nah, I wouldn't term it whining, and I never considered it a silly question. The post just made it seem like you were freaking out about it.

If you want info about you car, and have a GOOD VIN for it, just call back over to Ford Customer Service, 1-800-392-3673. They don't always have the most accurate info, but they will give you a ballpark to work with.

They get paid to answer questions like this if the dealer doesn't have any. Make them earn their pay I say.

welp i called customer service back and gave her the real vin of my car and she told me that i had an estimated build week of 1/3-1/10. She couldn't give me an ETA I know i read on here somewhere that it can take 8-12(i believe this is what i read, correct me if i'm wrong) weeks for a vehicle to reach a dealership but i couldn't seem to find anything on how long it takes to actually build a car any help would be greatly appriciated!

I think I remember around 20 hours from start to finish, not sure though.

Mine was built a week early and shipped the same day. It got here 9 days after that. Maybe some good luck will come your way and you could have it by 1/10...but more likely think around 1/17 - 1/25 for arrival...

I had great luck with Ford customer service, which I didn't expect. They gave me an ETA of 11/29 and sure enough on the morning of the 29th I got a call from my dealer saying the car was in. Was almost exactly 6 weeks from order to delivery, which seems to be the norm these days, now that they have production cranked up.

Its times like this i appriciate(<-spelling) living in Louisiana! Hardly ever any snow and never( at least in my lifetime) any salt to mess up my new baby! For reasons other than my car i would love to get some snow every once in a while.
