Ok......here is the deal. I ordered a V-6 with IUP and they have no clue when it will be built since there is a hold on the IUP.......should i go ahead and get the V-8 for about 5000 more and get it sooner? I have some neg. equity as well on my trade in and it will prob. be closer to $30000 that i will have to take a loan for. Will it be closer to $500 a month and ALSO how much more is the insurance usually for a V-6 rather than a GT?? Help me please!

At 30,000, you will be well over $500 a month(unless you get 0%, then it will be exactly $500, but Ford won't offer that on the Mustang), how much more depends on your interest rate, and insurance will be considerbly higher, may want to check with your insurance company, rates vary by company.

If you can find a 3.9 rate, your payment will be about $550 a month.

Well i think i can get the car payment down lower cause i forgot about the down payment im going to put on the car. I got a quote from progressive for $210 a month for the V-6, how much more do you think the V-8 would be? I am 20 which kills me but i have a clean record.

Progressive was cheapest for me compared to my current Allstate. Also try the search function, I believe we talked about the insurance choices/options.

Boy, all you folksies got really HIGH rate quotes!! Here's my secret to super LOW rates...

--> Get a real insurance agent locally -- when it's a personal relationship, they'll pull you through loopholes for discounts (we use State Farm, unarguably the best company and generous when it comes to accidents)

--> If you are under 25, do NOT get any vehicle titled in your name! Title it in your parents name and use their home address.

--> Add your name (under 25, again) to the policy, but ONLY on the cheapest car your family owns and ONLY add yourself as a co-driver. You will be automatically covered under [State Farm's] umbrella policy.

--> I am 24 and here's my rates on two cars we currently own...

1) At about 22 years old, my 1999 Mustang V6 cost me $350 for a 6 month coverage period. It was in Mom's name, but due to the aformentioned umbrella policy, I am covered too.

2) Now at 24 (25 on November 20th), my new 2004 BMW 325ci costs me "just" $450 for a 6 month coverage period.

:: As you can see, anyone paying $200-$400 per month on insurance is either really stupid (no offense, lol) -- OR -- they have been completely swindled, which I guess goes back to the first option. There's no way insurance can cost people so much. PS- Seriously, do NOT get online insurance; go find a HUMAN to help you out... our agent is has put so many discounts on our insurance policy it really makes the effort worth the while.
