Two Tone Interior?

After driving my dad’s 2014 Malibu, I loved the color contrast of the black dash, door panels, seats etc and then the grey a, b, and c pillars along with the headliner were grey so I actually may consider doing this as I was sitting in my car for the past hour just looking at what I could do and didn’t like how there was so much black. I did some research and thought that there was only Black and Tan but there’s grey too so I don’t have to paint my parts, has anyone done this as a two tone?

I haven't seen a two tone done on the S197 Mustangs, but my 2017 Fusion interior is done in two tone color scheme and I like it. The dash, upper door panels, top of console and the carpet are black. The rest is done in a light gray "stone color". The contrast of the light and dark looks good.

The 07-09 California Specials had a two tone interior, either black and gray or black and tan, depending on the exterior color.

They looked nice. I had one.

I agree, the contrast looks amazing on newer cars and on the GT/CS, I am going to try to find some Grey A pillars and mock them up just to see or give me a visual idea of what it could look like

Is anyone interested in trade the top section of the interior, I have black A, B, C pillars in great condition along with a headliner, all of these are in excellent condition, am looking for grey pieces if anyone is down

Changed my 07 interior from gray to black. I only have the gray headliner left. Clean no rips, tares, smoke free. Shipping is the only problem.

I color matched some interior panels to the car's exterior color. Also happens to be the same color as the vent louvers in the dash so it looks like it matches. Along with a few aluminum trim pieces really can set the interior apart from others. Also got the Corbeaus in black and silver.

That’s a nice interior, I was considering going towards that type of style but decided instead of a quick release, racing seats, roll cage, etc. I want to keep it look stock but 2010 stock meaning 2010 door panels, 2010 alcantara steering wheel and airbag, and maybe stock Two tone white seats or just going with red Recaros but if anyone is in the LA area and interested in trading half a black interior let me know and we can meet up

I'm a little late on this answer Wolf, but the two tone can be done. It ain't cheap though. Check www.katzkin.com or www.leatherseats.com.

I used Katzkin in a 2011 F-150, and was very satisfied with the quality.

Thanks for the link but I think I’m gonna just go towards some recaros for seats, I like the stock seats but going sideways... I’m sliding all over the place and plus if I do go for the two tone then I’d probably do the 2010 seats front and rear with the two tone and the white in the middle of the seats

Every Mustang interior that is not all black is effectively two-tone because the non-black color is only the seats, door panel inserts, and maybe a couple other things. But I'm pretty sure the pillars and headliner are still black/charcoal.

The 2010 seats suck just as bad as the earlier years for road track use, you really want the Recarros from a 2012+ Boss or track pack car, or some real race seats.

that’s what I’m thinking, I want to get Recaros but I want to keep the powered seat function but then again how often do I change my seat position so I may get Recaros but am gonna work on my interior colors before seats to give me an idea of what looks good at the time the choice is ready. Also yea I seen the two tone interiors, I don’t like the grey bottom section with the black upper section of the interior, think it’ll suit it more if it were the opposite, if anyone lives in the LA area and wants to trade let me the top section, let me know, I may just wrap my headliner suede gray but want to wait till I get the A, B, C pillars to match the tone and color
