V6 is a choice for those that don't care for performance and just care about looks only...... Even with the drop top.. the GT wins hands down IMHO.... BTW.. I traded my 03 Zinc Yellow GT premium vert for 05 GT premium coupe.... And I have not a single regret... Not even on nice days.... nnnyaah.... that's no regrets... and my parting shot; let me leave you this thought:

GT = Guy Car (Bullet, Apocolypse Now, Blues Brothers, Full Metal Jacket, etc...)

V6 = Chick Car (Pretty Woman, Driving Miss Daisy, Working Girl, etc...)

I was referring to this particular post... I understand it is more than likley that you were just alittle tired when you made this ridiculous statement.. You seem to have impecable taste when it comes to cars.. Afterall, they are all Mustangs... So how bout it? Are you gonna man up and give us an apology? Or am I going to have to beat that 89 LX to a pulp this summer at the track?

Also, my last 3 Mustangs were..

1988 Saleen Mustang Black (635)- Bought new off showroom floor.

1993 Mustang Cobra Red- Bought new off showroom floor

1995 Mustang GT Red- Bought used at a local car dealer

Traded in Both the 93 Cobra and the 95 GT for a new E55 Mercedes Benz in 2000 the model year was a 2001 E55...

if you don't care about the performance / lack thereof with the V6 compared to the GT then go for it. PLus with gas prices the way they are a V6 might just sounbd that much more appealing. I don't care about prices, I care about performance, hence why I chose the V8, but if you really don't care all that much then just go with the V6 with all the features.

Just do what you think is best for "you". Write down the pro's/cons that apply to your sense of satisfaction and go from there.

I wouldn't do it, mainly because I don't like verts.

Hey,
Get what makes you happy! If you like the top down lifestyle, then a V6 Vert is going to make you happier. If you're a horsepower hound, keep the GT. If you're like me, you go into debt and get both!!

I'm not going to rag on the V6's, I think they're pretty cool actually, and everytime I go to the gas station i tell myself that if I had any common sense I would have gotten one....

I'd keep the GT.

I still don't know where some people get off sayign the V6 is a "chicks" car. Pretty arrogant if you ask me. You wouldn't call a 5,0 a chicks car, yet a car that can be as fast as MOST of them is a chicks car because its only a V6.

I wouldn't call the V6 Mustang a chick car. Better examples would be the VW Bug, VW Jetta, BMW 3 series etc. You know small cars that are very easy to drive and very hard to crash
