Thermostat housing leak
Hola, first off sorry if theres already a forum on this. Im stuck with the cellular app that doesnt do a swell search of the site. Last night had my cousin drive my car to listen to the tranny and when we parked it there was steam/smoke coming from under the hood. Looks like its just leaking where the upper & lower housings come together. Im told this is an easy fix, but im no mechanic. Ive installed the cai and a radio on the car lol how "easy" is this job? Its an 05 V6.

It's not that hard. But usually the whole housing has to be replaced.

everything went smooth till i got to the coolant temp sensor and it doesnt fit into the new thermostat housing. the sensor is like the only thing i DIDNT get. so the skoundrel has to sit in the garage another night alone :\

Been planning on doing this replacement on my car, I have read get some o-rings at the hardware store as the Ford ones are junk.

Well finished it up, running like a champ again only w/o leaking!
