Anybody feel like their suspension is too stiff? I mean I understand it’s not like a 300c luxury ride on air, and it has to be stiff to grab that pavement, but the ads were so misleading, they made it seem it’d be lightyears ahead in suspension than other years. I feel it pretty choppy over the bumps, it makes the car rattle so bad over the bumps and it jumps all over the place. Just like with the shaker 500 which was supposed to be so much better than years past, and look what underpowered crap stereo’s they gave us?!! The car is great but I feel Ford and the press really mislead us much about the power of the speakers and stereo quality and the suspension. I mean it’s obvious live axle has limits, but I think I may have a bad suspension, it also makes weird creaky noises like it’s rusty when I’m at a stop and then start to take off. It vibrates the car over bumps bad. I also hear like some sort of whoosh sound sometimes when I accelerate coming from the front wheel wheels like it’s letting out some sort of pressure or it’s water logged? What’s up with that? So either they lied or I have a crappy built suspension. Any thoughts?

Is this your first stang? I definately notice an improvement in the suspension over the 95-2004 stangs. You have to remember, they are comparing the suspension to previous mustangs, not corvettes, porshe or even a Pontiac G6.

I was suprised to have my head snap back and forth over interstate expansion joints with the stock suspension. Kind of like riding a horse, which it is in a modern sort of way. The non IRS rear end oesn't help the ride. Other that that, I was perfectly happy with it. However, the shaker/skipper 500 is overrated and I would skip this option if I purchase another GT.

I had an '03 v6 vert, and the suspension feels the same. Every bump I go over rattles the whole car, and because there's a lot of hard plastic I can feel hard rattles. Sometimes even on the freeway going over speedbumps causes the car to rattle the suspension and plastics, how lame is that? Like a clunk from the center console!

going over speedbumps on the freeway? I definately don't understand that one.
