Strut brace

So I just got a gt500kr strut brace and I want it to go on my gt the hood doesn't shut with it and suggestions I know someone's done it washers? Anything??

I believe you'll need a different hood with that bar. Washers will only work if the bar is touching the intake, but low enough for the hood to close.

I was looking at the trufiber 3in cowl induction hood...would that be enough clearance

Not sure. I know the Kaenen Cowl I have will clear the Steeda STB designed to clear the Whipple.. Sense it's an OEM bar, your best bet is to give trufiber a call and see if they've test fitted their hood on a KR before.

Yes on a mustang gt NOT a gt500 the hood gets down all but about 1-1/2 in
