Just curious, but I have heard some cars have a safety feature that prevents the starter from engaging if the engine is already running (so you don't hear that horrible grinding noise if you forget the car is running and try to start it). I was wondering if the mustang has this feature?

I always thought that the grinding noise was the feature that let you know that the car was already running :)

DON'T try it! The Mustang does not have this feature and you will hear "the horrible grinding" noise.

Why would you want to start it again after running? The stang is loud enough that you know it's running.

This is the most pointless thread... ever.

And if you try to start your Mustang after it has already been started, then I have four words for you:

"NO MUSTANG FOR YOU!"

Mustang Nazi. :D

Montrose 4/14/05 08:48 AM

But what if your Mustang is not really running, but just trotting? Can you start it then?

adrenalin 4/14/05 09:32 AM

OMG! :lock:

Chaos05 4/14/05 10:17 AM

Actually it does have the feature. I just tried it and it does not grind. Or maybe it's just a feature of the Remote Start system I have installed. I dunno.

if you honestly did not know the mustang was idling you need to go here.

that feature only applies to pre-rice burners

Well, not that I would have this problem anyway, but I think my SLP Loudmouths should be enough of an indicator if shes running. :D

Oh god, this thread is funny.
