should i return car to stock tune for inspection.....

just as the title says..i figured i should and drive it a bit so it learns stock tune again...was unsure if it would hurt my inspection at all.......mods feel free to move if not posted in correct spot........

hmm i dont think the actual tune will affect inspection at all. if u have mods, maybe. but otherwise i dont think u'd have a problem at all

Inspections for emissions are just that. If they connect to the OBDII they are looking for codes. If you don't have a check engine light...no codes and you are okay. A well tuned engine should mean better emissions.

Sometimes you can set a P1000 code which is:

P1000 - OBD-II Monitor Testing Incomplete

I have seen this happen with some Ford Lightning’s using Predator tunes so not sure if there is any issue with P1000 codes on the Mustang.

In any case that code will not set the check engine light but the inspection will pick it up and not be able to complete the inspection. They will generally tell you to drive it around for about 30 minutes and come back.

You can also get a P1000 code anytime you disconnect the battery so the inspector will most likely not know, if you have it, that it had anything to do with a tune.

try it as is if it fails..make it stock then go back and switch it back once you get home

i think i am just going to go back to stock......then reflash when i am done...but i hate to waste the 93 in there...oh well.......
