Check this out on your car; both of mine were loose. Be CAREFUL, CAUTION, DANGER, SHARP metal edge may be exposed. Look at the front edge of the seat covering material. Down where the seat fore/aft handle is. On my car, there was a flap of material with foam and a hard plastic piece that were not attached to the inner, under metal edge of the seat frame.
It wasn't a big deal to attach it, but I guess the machine that puts the covers on the seat frame forgot to do it.

Had it happen to me yesterday on the driver's side. I'm pretty sure it was ok when I got the car, think it may come loose when you move the seat or something?

Thank you guys! Just fixed mine. My wife's been complaining about that since I got the car and I didn't realize how easy it was to clip this on. Probably wouldn't have found the clip if I wasn't looking for it. That and the big wire bundle that you see just above the carpet while your down there fixing it are shoddy workmanship/design that are below the rest of the car.

Agreed, Mitch.
Thanks, Leo. I hadn't noticed that I had that loose flap on the passenger side (but the driver's seat was secured). Took me a moment to to secure the passenger side because I couldn't see the sharp metal frame edge at first. But once I spotted that I could see how the plastic clip attached to it.
Good catch, guys. Thanks again.
I also discovered this afternoon, that I have an unstitched seam in the lower seat back of the passenger side rear seat. Will put that on the "punch list" for the first trip back to the dealer, right above the front strut mount bearing problem (when they get the fix), and the first oil change (free from the dealer).

I'm not talking about the slot for the anchor strap for the child seat---that is supposed to be ope on both left and right rear seat, just below the indicator button.
They all have those 2; I was talking about lower than that, below that slot, where the seat back meets the seat bottom.
My upholstery shop fixed me up great today.

Stu, If you have the problem, you can't miss it. In front of the base of the seat, you'll see a loose flap of apoulstry. If it's done right, there is nothing to see. If it's loose, the seat cover just hangs free.
If it's wrong, the inside bottom edge has a slotted band that slips onto the metal edge under the coushion. Just slip it on.

Geez, I checked and both of my seat covers were unattached! Took a few minutes but I figured out how to clip them to the seat frame. Thanks for the heads-up.
Could this be yet another factory oversight (like the two missing bolts in the bellhousing)?
