The dealer just called me with good/bad news....Hes got a V6 exactly like I ordered...only NO IUP ... IUP in the V6's will NOT be made for a long time!!! So what do I do???? Wait or go with this????

If you think you can live w/ the fact that you didn't wait and won't be regretting it when they start putting the IUP in the V6s agian then i say go for it! otherwise wait, that is what i am having to do. It will be worth it in the long run i think.

Look at dealer inventories from on your computer, for cities within a 50 mile radius from you. After taking delivery of my Windveil GT I preordered and got in October, my wife wanted a premium Redfire V-6 with IUP, leather seats, automatic, side airbags, etc. and I found one to be had in Arlington Heights equipped just the way she wanted. There were none to be had within 50 miles from us, so we went to where it was. I told her that with the delays of the IUP, plus among other things such as a possible price increase in the near future, we should drive the hour to where this one was, and at least look at it. We did, she liked it, and now she is driving it.

I'd wait.
1. You'll always second guess yourself for not getting exactly what you wanted.
2. You can save more and put more down for the down payment, so you'll save more on your monthly payment.

You just have to wait. You ordered yours on 10/19. I ordered mine on 10/29. Just 10 days difference. Same color too. I was shut out of getting I.U.P. You're "IN". Even if I get mine before yours, think of all the years you'll have with yours with ALL the options to enjoy. I know it's hard to wait but it may only be a matter of a couple of weeks between mine & yours. Be strong. (Besides, the dealer may know that if he could get you to settle for this one, when your original order comes in with I.U.P. he could sell it at a highter price than the one he may have settled on with you due to the current option issues)

Awesome, it's a V6/spoiler combo without the ugly hiney tape stripe!
By the way, you should wait for IUP. I know I will

I thought there wasn't gonna be a big wait from Iup V6 in canada, thought only states was gonna have long wait?
I saw a V6 in silver with black leather and no Iup at richport ford in richmond, and it was horrible looking without the Iup.Dont do it,wait for a Iup model to come in!

say Jim...did you order 18r interior sport appearance package with leather wrapped satin wheel and satin gearshift? That's a go for build right now...Rex

I agree with Jaxxon. Look around at other dealerships. I have found PLENTY of V6s, some with and some without the IUP. Maybe even try a 100+ mile radius.
If you really like the IUP, don't settle.

Sort of off topic, but that car looks great with the spoiler and no stripe. Why the f did Canada get stangs built like that and we have that stripe? That car looks great without it.

Yes I like them better without the stripe as well. I am going to do 1 thing though...no matter which V6 I finally do with. Where the GT's have the "GT" badge on the fenders there is nothing there on the V6. I think these would look sharp there...

If you really like the looks with the IUP you will regret it if you buy one without. I know I "settled" for something I really didn't want once when I bought a car and everytime I saw a car that had the feature I did want I myself. I know, it is hard to kick yourself in the ding-ding.

Here's a question....I dont care about the "mycolor" feature but I really like the polished aluminium, How long will it be before an aftermarket kit is available for the IUP??? i.e aluminium inserts ect.

Well I did it.... First off I called around to EVERY dealership within 100 miles and no luck...so I bought this one and ya know what...I LOVE IT!!! I actually like the interior!! The chrome rings really stand out!! The car drives great and has plenty of power!! On my way back to Victoria I pushed it a "little" on HWY 99 just to see how it felt and next thing I knew I was doing 160k I have no regrets at all with my buy. As for the IUP I see there is already an aftermarket company with the dash pieces!!! B) so if I want, down the road to change it I can!! In the mean time Im driving my car and happier than a pig in $hit!!!!!
