Pulled the trigger on a Torch Red 07 GT today!

Finally found the time (and decided on colors and options) to go down and order my 2007 GT Coupe this morning!
I went with the Torch Red GT Premium Coupe with 5-speed manual, 3.55 gears, dark charcoal interior, IUP, PTP, satin dash, Appearance Pkg, Comfort group, Side airbags, 64W 18" polished wheels, anti-theft, and wheel locks.

Dealer told me 8-10 weeks and I saw a priority 10 on the order sheet so I'll wait and see! He said once the order gets entered into the system and Ford sends back the official VOC he's send me a copy next week. I did get a printout that said Vehicle Order Confirmation but he said that's not the real VOC until Ford assigns a number.

Yes, I saw your post! Ours look to be very similar - we'll have to keep track of our build process along the way.

What part of the country are you in? I'm in Washington State.

Congrats on your order as well!

Congrats! My torch red vert is supposed to be here next week or week after which would put it right at 2 months from order to delivery. May your wait be shorter :)

Yes, I plan to update my order as it progresses along and it will be interesting to see how they progress. Mine was given a priority code of 12.

I've been very pleased with my dealer so far so I hope that will continue with a quick delivery.. We'll see.

I also live in Washington State, the Seattle area, so that will make it even more interesting. They'll probably ship on the same rail car..

I almost ordered Torch Red - got Vista Blue instead. You ordered a sweet car. Congratulations.

Congrats!!

You'll LOVE Torch!

Almost Drove a torch red off the lot yesterday. I test drove it, it had a crimson interior with all the options I wanted. Very nice color, but I ordered an Alloy

What an awesome gift, last year I bought myself a Honda ST1300. You and I give ourselves great gifts. My B-day is Oct 6. Horray for us!!

It is for my 40th - does that qualify for mid-life crisis purchase?

Rookie! I'll be 50 next year. I'm on MLC #2, lol. (By the way, nice job on the order!)

Say, is it Torch Red in here or is it just me? http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...up/cool_oj.gif

Tres Wright 7/29/06 10:38 PM

I ordered my torch red '07 vert on the day of my 45th b-day :) Hopefully it'll be here before my next b-day ;)

I also had a MLC which started in 1994 and continues through today. I wonder if it will ever go away???

I will be 43 in Oct so my Stang was an early present.

BamaGT 7/31/06 06:57 PM

Congrats!! I hope it gets here soon. You will certainly enjoy it.

Great color choice!!!!!

Thanks, and cheers on your order, hope it works out! Mine is supposed to be here this week or next. I haven't bothered getting the VIN and DORA and all that, I subscribe to the "watched pot never boils" belief ;) So I'm not sure of its exact arrival. The salesman is keeping me posted. I've been so busy I haven't had the spare time to get anxious about it :)

When I bought the '05 stang a lot of people asked me if it was a MLC thing, and I told them I've been in a perpetual MLC since childhood :) The funny thing is it is completely true. I've always enjoyed having toys (especially motorcycles) my whole life, there is no place you could draw a line and say: "This is where Tres started his adulthood"- LOL!

C'mon guys. What Mid-life crisis. I'm driving my torch red 05 GT vert right now. My 2nd 05. First was torch red coupe deluxe 5 speed (Dec 04). Kept it two months - ordered the vert = received it two months later (Apr 05). Now 15 months later (Jul 11) ordered the 07. I guess I ordered the 07 for my 59 b-day present. I tell everyone that "yes it's mid-life but not quite a crisis yet - NO TICKETS. Enjoy - Can't wait for Aug 21/:beer:

I can relate way too closely, all my friends and coworkers ask off and on if I ever plan to grow up and I always ask why? I love my toys and since life is so short, I plan to never grow up.

I am responsible, do my job, save for retirement, pay my bills, etc so I choose to buy my toys and enjoy them.

Bob
