Overheating and cylinders misfiring.

I was driving my 2008 Mustang V6 and the coolant temperature peaked, the engine misfired, so I stopped as soon as possible at the side of the highway. Opened the hood to see lots of steam and a crack in the thermostat housing. Had the car brought home on a wrecker truck and replaced the housing, now misfiring on two or three cylinders. This is my first mustang, any advice on where to go from here? Up to now I've changed the HT pack but no difference.

Welcome,

Perhaps Plug in a Scanner and See If you Have Any Codes!

Barring Any Actual Engine Damage From The Overheating The Steam May Have Sprayed Down Some Electrical Connectors And is Causing a Bad Connection. A Code May Point To Item. A Visual To Where Any Actual Water Spray Went May Also Show Where Some Connections Could Be Cleaned With Some Contact Cleaner. Really Could Be a Lot of Things Just Got To Narrow it Down.
