OEM Leather seat covers?
I'm looking for OEM leather seat covers inMedium Parchment (Tan) for my 2008 Mustang GT. This isn't my car, but the interior is this color. http://imgur.com/ebSqDBf
New or Like New condition. My car has side airbags. The original seat covers were replaced under warranty within the first 20k miles because they were spliting, and the replacements are now splitting as well. Does anyone have any for sale, or can point me to someone/someplace that has them for sale? |
I have seen some on eBay, even Shelby leather... Not sure what years. Might give that a try.

DO you have a picture of your seat covers. What you call tan may be another color to someone else. I just showed my g/f a set and she called them tan where I say they are grayish. If you show a picture, I have a set for a coupe, but I call them more dove grey then tanish. Ford only has a couple of straight colors, so maybe I have what you want.

The official ford name for the color is Medium Parchment. I had to dig out my window sticker last night. This isn't my car, but the interior is this color. http://imgur.com/ebSqDBf |

I'd go with some Katzkin instead. They're not much more than OEM Ford, but they're way better leather.

I only have ~5-6 more months with this car, before I trade it in on a new 2015. I'm fixing it to maximize trade in value. Needless to say, that means I'm not interested in spending premium prices on the repair. ie: Why I'm looking for cheap but good quality take off parts instead of new premium quality parts.

Check Craiglist. I got lucky and found a set of OEM black leather seat covers for $150. I personally think all of the aftermarket leather seats and covers look cheap, but that's just my opinion. Just be patient and keep checking eBay and Craigslist everyday. Maybe even try Craigslist in surrounding cities as well if you're willing to travel.

better than you currently have?

alternately, if just a split seam, bet a local upholstery shop could stitch it up nice if you just took them the cover...

@05stangkc bookmarked the dude on eBay. $600 for a seat is pricey. Maybe they will go on sale. :)
|
Agreed! The dude wants $579.99 on Ebay per seat, which is indeed quite pricey for OEM reproduction IMHO... Unless the dude in question is willing to negotiate reducing his price? I would much prefer purchasing from a well-established manufacturer, as in Katskin Leather :dunno:
