According to today's exchange rate, it looks like 112,250 US$. And I thought we had huge taxes here in Europe... All I can say is WOW!

Nice ride! WOW... those right hand drive conversions just look WEIRD to me...

I was hoping to see some ladies posing with Nadine as well!!! Can you help?

johnpony 10/19/07 02:47 PM

Yeah i was hoping to see some ladies posing with nadine as well maybe next time. Yes Tax is near 40% ,conversion costs 30k then shipping and rego cost 7k each it all adds up to big bikkie's but at least it makes them very rare and special.

There are only about 100 of the S197's on the road Down Under , I get guy's in lambo's and ferrai's pull me over to have a look. A new FPV Ford Falcon sedan could cost you upwards of 70-80k and they are everywhere down here.

you are talking 80k just for a GT 500E clone down here and closer to 200k for the real thing. I guess it all depend's on how bad you want one.

I like the amber tailights, has anyone seen those available in the States?

lldsandsll 10/22/07 12:13 AM

you can get them, but you have to order them from europe and they are expensive (+$200 a pair). you can also get a pair that has red on the two outside sections, and clear on the center section w/ a silver painted amber bulb. imo, that one's much nicer.
