The videos and pics
-------------------------------------------
I have three videos. One is my buddy in the yellow GT all the way around the track. You can hear a black GT launching at the end of this one. The second is the same yellow GT launching and up to the twisties. Very nice chirp going into 2nd on that one. The third is the black GT manual up until the twisties. There was one guy who had an *awesome* launch w/ the yellow GT, but I wasn't filming right then. He seriously burned out right off the line, and burned a little more going into 2nd ! After that, I think they started telling people not to burn out off the line.
And there are various pics from the event, including me in the red Ford GT. I guess I must have snuck in there because you weren't supposed to sit in it!! LOL. Anyways, hope everyone enjoys them.
My impression of the 05 GT:
-------------------------------------------
I drove the auto because it has been so long since I learned stick and I didn't want to stall out or something like that. They only had one auto GT, a black one. They did have one V6, but after a little while they just retired it because no one wanted to drive that. Off the line, the auto felt great! Gobs of torque. I'm sure the 5-speed auto helps w/ that. And the engine note is sooooo nice. So throaty and gurgly, though much quieter on the inside. Felt like just the right amount of exhaust sound to me. Going through the course, the thing that struck me the most was how sure-footed the car felt.
It felt very substantial but not sluggish at all. A very confidence inspiring feel. Especially in the slalom. I took it about as fast as I think the car could take it without losing it, and there was minimal body roll. Very Nice. I was jerking the wheel around to take the corners fast, and it was very willing. Basically you point and it goes.
WOW, did the yellow GT look great. I thought it looked the best out there. But, they only had black, red (cherry and torch), and yellow. I might have liked silver better. As you can tell from my handle, I plan on getting an 06 GT in Titanium Silver, like the show car.
Overall, I had a great time, and I'm completely sold on the car.

I went WAY over my bandwidth last month. There's no possible way I can host vids at this point.

Sorry for the delay everyone. If only my upload speed was faster! Soon, though. Soon....
So, anyone reading this thread who has bandwidth to spare, please let scothew know. Thanks!

I can host them. Richard, I PMed you access information to an FTP server where you can upload them directly. I'll then recode them tomorrow and upload them on a server where traffic is not a problem.
