So how does the ICAP look against....say a silver stang.

What is the make-up of charcoal versus red leather in the seating?

Any pics?

If only it weren't leather... Then it'd be a no brainer for me.

After driving around in a NON leather seated Camry, that clinched it for me: No more leather ever.

Why, Ford? WHY?

Wow, I feel the exact opposite, I will never own a car again without leather. What do you have against leather? just curious.

I would agree that the IUP makes the car, but the ICAP only makes sense if you want red seats

I have always debated leather. Sometimes it can be so annoying to be sitting on hot leather in the sun when your back gets all hot. Other times however it is so much nicer. I'm getting leather on mine, but I still don't feel it's that amazing, just cool i guess.

Love the IUP. ICAP is hit or miss. Really depends on the car and/or the tastes. My personal opinion is that the red is a tad overkill. It may look good today but how will you feel in 6 months? That said, it does look attractive with certain colors (read: Black)

Ever had a butt cheek stick to a leather seat in 100 degree weather? Itll make you shout.

But with that said, the v6 cloth is shiny and ugly, so I will be sacrificing style over comfort.

The red leather is not overkill...especially in the black. It brings out the retro look and really adds to the whole feel of this car.

I just got my silver 05 with upgraded interior and dark leather. It looks great. I am extremely happy with my choice especially since I ordered it in June sight unseen.

Actually no, I have black leather now and have never had a problem with getting burned by it.

When you see the red in person you may be surprised. I was amazed to see that it's nowhere near as bright as in the overly illuminated shots we've seen around here. The hue appears to be more of a cranberry than lipstick red. BTW - the red door panel is made of the same perforated red leather as the middle of the seats. I had wondered if it might be a hard plastic but it's really nice. But I do wonder as well if it is a color combo that will become tiresome after a year of everyday driving.

I wish that Mustang had the same interior treatment options as the T-Bird. In that car you can specify charcoal leather with red or white seat inserts and decide between getting or not getting the red door panels. I don't remember there being red floormats on the one I sat in either. It had the charcoal doors and the red shifter **** and partially red steering wheel along with the red seat inserts. Personally I think it's very attractive that way. Colorful and fun-looking but not obnoxious.

I am a bit scared for next summer - black trapping heat in and then leather sautering (spelling?) any exposed skin to it -

Mmm Hotlanta!

I would imagine that the perforated leather will be far easier to live with in warm summer climates than the 'sweaty' non perforated variety. Personally I would like to see bun warmers for our COLD New England winters in a perforated leather seat!
