Interesting vert info

Saw a V6 Vert @ the Meijer's in Canton, Michigan today. It had M plates and the driver had an "Alliance" badge in the console.
When I asked about problems he said that they are having "the usual problems associated with a new product launch". He said the only Verts going out the door right now are for "Field Evaluations". He said it still needed to be "certified" by both engineering and the dealers.
He mentioned that "Mass Production Date" was March 5th, 2005.
The guy was really cool. Even though it wasn't even 30 degrees out he let me sit in the car and we put the top down. The top seemed really slow, and it bound up in the center of it where it went back. He also had to tug on it to get it to latch when we put it back up. (Both of these issues probably a result of it being cold). The windows roll completely down when putting the top down. I would recommend the boot based on what I saw.
By the way, it was Mineral Grey, black top, Red accent package and IUP.

well thats great seeing it on the road but onething doesn't make sense, and thats the fact that mustang convertibles have already been produced that dealers have ordered , so this guy must not know much
anyone that works on the line out there that can shed some more light on this

Same here. Build week NEXT WEEK!!! Got to admit...as soon as it breaks 40 degrees on Long Island, that top is going down, heck...it'll probably go down right off the dealer lot! "Z Plan" here too.
