Do any dealers know if there will be any incentives or rebates offered yet? As of last week, I know it wasn't determined yet. I am particularly interested in the $400 rebate for new college graduates. Thank you.

Galaxie 9/23/04 01:00 PM

The new grad rebate is direct from Ford and does not affect the dealer's bottom line, they cannot refuse that on the sale.

As for incentives, I doubt you will see any on the 2005 Mustang. Some dealers I have talked to won't budge on MSRP, some will.

What is the new grad rebate? I've already ordered mine but I did just graduate from college back in May. I wonder if I can still get that.

I think you can bring up the recent grad rebate when you negotiate financing once your car comes in. You haven't already signed the purchase contract?? Right? Even if the dealership has told you what what they will sell the car for, the rebate comes from Ford and, like Steve said, shouldn't affect the Dealer's bottom line.

m5f07t 9/23/04 01:25 PM

No I haven't signed anything yet. That'll be sweet then, since I'm only paying 500 over invoice, I'll have my new GT for under invoice price. :-D

College Grad Rebate

Lynx4Ben 9/23/04 01:37 PM

So I get X-Plan pricing for being a college grad!!!!

steve19970 9/23/04 01:38 PM

Probably not...depends on your school. If you mean you get a deal similar to X-plan, then maybe.

Lynx4Ben 9/23/04 01:39 PM

My school says X-plan pricing!

And I am eligible for 2! vechiles.

steve19970 9/23/04 01:40 PM

Cool! Congrats!

acadian 9/23/04 03:12 PM

My dealer mentioned something to me about possible incentives when the car comes in. But what possible incentives would there be on an '05 Mustang?

bryman 9/23/04 06:09 PM

Months back, they said the mustang would be launched with financing incentives. Lets hope they stay true to their word.

College Grad Rebate
Thanks! My school didn't wasn't an x-plan partner, but $400 is nice. Luckily, I already have an x-plan from a friend.

steve19970 9/23/04 07:42 PM

That's cool...though it's too bad we can't get the $400 AND xplan (read the fine print)...lol c'mon ford! Just give the cars away! LOL

:bang: Doh! Didn't see that.

But hey, I'm still waiting for Phil Mickelson to call me and tell me to pick up my free Mustang :-D . Anyone remember that promotion?

students dont quallify for x-plan, the employees might. VINCENT on 05 mustangs as of now says college rebate is available. No word on millitary appreciation though. New 500 and Freestyle have them both and are available for 3% for 60 months.

Certain universities qualify for the x-plan...like University of Michigan at Dearborn (of course :jester: )...there might be a few others. My school only qualified for the $400 rebate

Cadillac Jack 9/23/04 08:40 PM

3% or 3.9%? Seems like you had to have a 750+ Beacon score to get those last A plan purchase we made..
Can you shed any light on the subject Kevin? Assuming the 'Stang has the same offer, hopeful at best. Thanks. B)

Any word on whether Ford is allowing the College Grad rebate? I am graduating in December and would like to take advantage of it.

The college grad rebate applies, as well as AQHA rebate (not together though). Also they announced "special" financing at 3.9/4.9/5.9/7.9% for 36/48/60/72 months.
