Help w/ Pony?

I just received my new Pony emblem for the front of my 05 GT and I am wondering if the best way to remove the old pony is to just take a screwdriver and pop it off or to take the time to remove the radiator cover? If anybody could please help I would be indebted...

Remove the radiator cover from your car and use a pick to remove the one time clips, go at easy and it will come right off.

after I got done fussing with the cover I ended up just breaking the tabs off. Much easier and trust me you will like the new emblem way more.

I just got done!!! I removed the radiator cover and ended up just breaking the tabs; but now the pony is loose and I am going to have to use some double sided 3m tape or something behind it...

Did you do the same thing? How did you keep the pony in w/out the clips?
