Have the alternator checked. Mine did that once in while, then I got a check engine light that would not go off, finally the battery died. Turned out to be the alternator on it's last legs.

It's not the cable if you can get the car out of park. I'll check the tsb tomorrow while I'm at work. Good luck.

I don't have any Check engine lights, but I'll definitely check in to that! Thanks

No problem. Honestly to me it sounds like torque converter failure.

Are you still broken in the parking garage?
Should have been towed to a shop by now. Pretty sure you're not gonna get it moving in the lot. Good luck with it and keep us posted.

Haha it's sitting at the lot at the dealer, long waiting list. I have free roadside service so the dealer had to be within 15 miles. Go figure lol

They wasted a whole day of your time just to tell you that they can't fix it? They better be taking care of the tow...

My buddies 2006 did the same thing and they said it was the shifter link that broke and there was a TSB from the 2005 /06 Autos... Sounds like the same thing?

are you out of warranty? should have 5 year 60,000 power train warranty to cover transmission.

They are luckily paying for it. I'm very glad. The dealership has been very nice.

For all who've helped, a big thank you. They said its the low gear reverse ring. I believe that's what they said lol

Mark, you may not get any response, since the last post was well over 8 years ago. THE OP only had a total of 25 posts on the site.

This is obviously a long shot but I'm in the same position, Mark. Did you find a fix for your problem?
