Have you checked your tire pressure lately?

Your tires are 8 to 18 pounds less than what they should be at, according to polls. Check them! :poke:

Winter is coming and pv=nrt means that tires pressures are going down, Air them up!

jay_wx 11/14/06 02:08 PM

I check mine every 4-6 weeks or sooner if they look low.

Rule of thumb is about 1 psi per 10*F difference for air. 2007 owners don't have to worry. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System will tell you if it is too low... unless the Lithium battery ran out!! :jester:

I checked mine last weekend. I hadn't checked since spring, and there were all about 28lbs. I filled them back up.

Boomer 11/14/06 02:15 PM

I had one tire at 14lbs...(not stock... aftermarket wheels/tire)

I think I have a slow leak... probably a bad valve stem.

The others were ok.

metroplex 11/14/06 02:29 PM

The stock 235/55R17 Pirellis have a cold max psi of 51, so that means they should normally be filled to around 38 psi. What does the door sticker say? 32-36?

BigDog 11/14/06 02:50 PM

I check all of mine at least once a month.

Including the spare tire?

The tire pressure monitor system is not that sensitive, how much before it shows up?

Stangers 11/14/06 03:56 PM

Rims arent sparkin yet ....so I guess there ok:dunno: :jester:

mustangkid18 11/14/06 03:58 PM

This last weekend I filled mine up. They were down to 20 psi. The door sticker says 35 on mine btw.

Giddyup 11/14/06 04:40 PM

I check mine about every 4 months. Run them at 33 lbs.

FLAstangx3 11/14/06 05:11 PM

Go Nitro folks. Great for security senses anyway, Hardly ever changes the pressure. Running at 34psi. excellent ride and feel.

Speaking of tire pressure, one of the best investments I've ever made was getting a Moroso pressure gauge. It pays to have a good quality, accurate gauge. I don't recall how much it was, but it was fairly cheap.

GoFaster 11/14/06 07:17 PM

I got a TPMS warning on Sunday, each tire was around 25 psi. Filled up to 32 and it went right away. Didn't expect to get it after 20 minutes of city/highway driving, so it kinda startled me.

RedFire4.6 11/14/06 07:43 PM

i check mine every month they tend to lose about 1-2lbs per month.

sts767 11/15/06 04:53 AM

How much does it cost to gt nitrogen in your tires and where do you get it?

wally10 11/15/06 05:04 AM

I fill mine with Helium....
my car weighs 2800 lbs now.
running 12's stock.

YardSpecial 11/16/06 07:28 AM

Funny Paul !
