So, we were at the audio place getting my hubby more toys for his truck, and talking about my Stang thats not born yet... he lets the cat outta the bag that there are 3 GTs sitting in auto shop across the street... Of COURSE, I drag hubby outta the store, and across the street. I saw the first, a White GT... it looked a little different... so we went in and started talking to the guys, and come to find out... its a Cobra prototype! It was all banged up, was dirty, had a bunch of stuff in it... but, MAMA did that thing sound GOOOOOOOD!

The company that is working on the car is also putting together body mod kits for the Cobra...

Anyway.... The guys saw us trying to take pics on our camera phone and told us no, then I talked to the owners, and they told me I could, gave me some print outs of the car they are taking to the SEMA show, and took some pics with his digital. All I got right now is the camera phone pics... I will post the print outs, and other pics as soon as I get them in my laptop!

Yes, its real. What I sat in is the test GT with a Cobra R engine, its all beat up.. but its real. The second GT wasnt on the lot, returns from paint on Wednesday, and will post it them. I am going on Wednesday, and will get pics with the white GT they are building for the Ford Booth at SEMA. The third was just a shell, and couldnt get a pic, owners said Ford didnt want it released like that. Which was fine! LOL

This is a shop in SoCal, and I have decided to let them do all my mods.

 

???Did it have a body kit on it or was it just a normal 'Stang with Cobra power???

I got the see (not sit in) both the New Ford GR-1 and the Shelby prototype. I have a bunch of pics but they are not digital and I don't have a scanner

This was at the Monterey car show and it was fabulous. 7 enzo's, thousands of ferraris, lamborghinis, and saleen s7's. It was great.

 

Some clarifications...

It is a GT with a Cobra engine, no kit on it YET.

I DID get to see the engine, to be totally honest, I was so excited to forgot to get pics. When I go back on Wednesday, I will remeber to take pics.

I told the owner of the shop about the Site, and he is going to be visiting, and might be posting!!!

Wait so this shop is creating the body kit for the cobra, the one ford will use? Or is it a body kit for the GT, and they just have a GT with a cobra engine?
