Good buy?

Ello govnuh's! I am new to this forum and came across a 2006 gt premium standard 5 speed. It is selling for 12,500 and has 87,000 miles on it. It's white with black racing stripes going down the middle. Is this a good buy? It also looks brand new.

I would say its pretty fair price. Check around the net and chack kelley blue book price or check msn and also autotrader.com for prices.

Yes that is pretty much right around where they stand. That's a great price if it looks brand new (in person)

This will also be my first mustang/car if I do get it. Can't stand driving my parents 04 Camry anymore!

I would bet you could find something with a little lower miles than that for the same money. Trust me, once you buy a used car with over 60k miles, things start to break and need to be replaced all too frequently. I'd look for a used 01 Cobra or 03-04 Mach 1 with lower miles. The interior won't be as nice, but insurance will probably be lower and it will be just as fast and reliable. Really I'd go for a Mach 1 (insurance usually sees these as GTs, the Cobra might be higher because it's a Cobra).

Does make sense. I need to find something reliable as I live in Louisiana and will be driving to Georgia for college

If your gonna be driving a lot, I'd get 2005 an up. The interior is so much nicer as is the ride.
