e brake question

e brake question

Has anyone broke their e brake? I was on a pretty stiff incline gave in a really hard pull, loud snap no emergency brake. Any exploided views or what to look for or common problems?

It's a cable actuated system that ties in to the rear brake calipers. I'm not sure where it runs from the brake handle, but if you take your rear wheels off the cable is pretty easy to see -- it runs along the lower control arms on each side.

Before you pull the wheels off , it could be where the single cable from the handle ties into the two cables that go to the brakes. It's visible underneath the car in the middle , a single cable ties into a bar which has two cables coming off of it one to each brake ...
