There are not words to describe this experience. When I went to the dealership to pick up my car on Friday, there were 20 people flocked around it on the showroom. (I have fully loaded Redfire premium GT, options are below). From that moment forward, I have not stopped feeling like a celebrity. Everywhere I go, I have been swamped with people around me. Take it to the financing shop, people clear the closest parking spot for the "kid in that pretty new Mustang". I go the gas station, I have guys in their 40s telling me about their Mustang memories. I get to my moms neighborhood and people smile and wave. For all the aprehension I had about color, let me tell you, a brand new shiny redfire is the absolute most stunning color there is. Pictures DONT do it justice, I spent 2 hours walking around my car just looking. Couldn't get over how beautiful it was. The expectations were 6 months high, and this one car has exceeded EVERY expectation. I get on the freeway, and I can pass ANYTHING in ANY lane, and I have an AUTOMATIC. I have never owned a V8 before, so when I hit that gas pedal and hear that low VROOOM I get goosebumps. I almost feel like I'm dreaming as crazy as that sounds, this CANT be real. The funny thing is, I parked it in the garage at my moms place on Sunday night after picking it up on Friday, as I'm not going to drive it during the week (back to the bus to work), and so it almost seems UNREAL now, like it all didn't happen, and it's not really there. But all I can tell you all is this, when Friday rolls around and I roll up that garage door, THERE IT'LL BE. And the magical experience will begin again...

Congrats, my experiences have been similar. Luckily, I was able to afford an old Civic to get me to/from work, but I understand you're not wanting to drive it there!

Only thing I disagree on is that BLACK is the most beautiful color : )

There were two Redfire GT's in that shipment. Mine was dropped off in Spokane on Thursday. I too have received the royal treatment. Nobody at work wants to park anywhere near me. They don't want to be the cause of any damage to "that beautiful car"

It's an absolute blast. At least until you find a :cop: when you're going 70 in a 45 But you'll quickly get back to the  attitude once you realize that it was just a matter of time until you would run into a :cop: anyways so keep on lovin it! By the way, on the color choice. Redfire is absolutely beautiful when clean. A very deep and rich color, and the ICAP looks great with it. Have fun!

I got my Redfire GT two weeks ago and I still feel that way. Congratulations.

Only two weeks, and I am well over a thousand miles.

With you all the way there. My neighbors tell me how much they love the car...people at church oogled over it (so much for that ENVY sin )...watched a couple circle their SUV around it 3 times in a parking lot...I even was approached by two people at a gas station wanting to peek inside.

Also being a new V8 owner...the "push" and "VROOM" I get from the pedal is just outstanding. I have to constantly control myself to not go above the speed limit. It just begs to go faster.

This car just rocks. Its actually fun to burn MP3s again so I can jam with them in the car.

CONGRATS

I know the feeling! I have complete strangers knocking on my door at my house... can I speak to the owner of the mustang? This has happened several times as well as people stopping when I'm outside. The last guy that stopped (last night), was in a 69 Mach 1, 428 Cobrajet! Wanted to show his daughters my car! I said sure, you can sit in mine if can I sit in yours! They loved it, just had the engine start button installed and told her to start it up, just push the button! Everyone loves the My Colors and sequentials. Can't stop to get gas without chatting with someone. It seems you never get tired of it!

Have fun

I can totally relate with everything you said. I got mine on Friday and can't stop driving it. I went to work this morning at 8:00 and was going crazy. At 10:00 I called my daughter and asked if she wanted to go to lunch. That may sound perfectly normal, but she lives 80 miles away! I just got home.....what a great ride. It certainly is easy to speed in this beast. Without even trying or realizing it, you're doing 80. The radar detector will pay for itself in no time!

Congratulations!! :banana2: :banana2: I got mine last Tuesday, and know exactly how you feel. I downloaded a picture of it to my computer desktop at work, and now I have a hard time not wanting to just stare at the screen all day long. c:

These are great cars....2 weeks in, I have already seen jealousy. Yesterday, someone threw gum at it. I know I didn't pick it up from the road b/c of where it was and how white it was. At least it could be cleaned off, unlike a dent from a rock.

Ok, here is a story. We had gotten our Redfire GT Vert in March. First it was too cold then we were in the mist of getting things ready for our daughter's wedding. Well thats finally all over with and this week we too road trips and took a few pictures. YEA!!!!

Now my son came home from school friday and tell his dad and I about this class project he has to do on noise and sounds. It has to be video recorded to show in class. Guess what noise they were going to use. That's right, Mustang noise. Seems his class mate has a 04GT and they were going to record the motors
and compare the 04, to the 05, to the 65. All Mustangs of course. While they were playing around my husband laid rubber down in front of our neighbors house to the end on of property. Ok neat right. I was the only one who came to the door. As the guys played with their cars one of our neighbors came home with his diesel truck. Different kinda noise but we didn't have the heart to tell him. So they recorded him too. It made us feel really good that this poor guy wanted too fit in. Maybe his truck we will make an exception for. It is cool, and it I know will never change.
