A couple of problems

I am new to the forum. I have an 2005 Screaming Yellow Mustang GT. I have a couple of problems

1) I have a problem with water slashing around what sounds like the dash. I have checked the area where the cabin filter is. It is dry and the drain plugs are open. The sound that I have seems to be coming from in the heating ducts. I can hear it slashing around from there. Are there any drain plugs there that could be plugged and does anyone have pictures of this so I can get rid of this water problem?

2) The second problem I have is the gauge clusters has a chime for the signal lights and other stuff which works fine with the car is cold but once the car warms up all audible sounds from the gauge cluster are gone.

The sloshing sound has been explained before, so if you do a search on it I'm sure you can find a dozen posts to fix it. The quick reply is, undo your cowl covers, remove the cabin filter on the passenger side of the fire wall, reach down and clear the debris out of the rubber plug. There is also a rubber plug on the driver's side. I removed mine to stop the gunk from accumulating and water filling up. Do it soon because if the water level gets too high it will flow into the cabin through the filter and soak your carpet. Then you got mold problems and the smell that comes with it.

As for the sounds thing, yeah I'm clueless on it. Heh!

If all drains are clear check your coolant level. When its a little low, air can get in the heater core and make a sloshing sound.

As for question number two that's a fun one... I'd have too see it in person to figure it out.

Thanks for your help. I have checked where the cabin filter goes and the two drains there. Every thing was dry and the drains were free of obstruction. The sound that i am hearing sound like it is right behind the vents in the car itself. The coolant level is fine and i am getting great heat from all vents. Is there any drains inside the car the would help me here? (pictures would be a plus). I know the cabin filter area has been disguessed but this is not where my sound is coming from.

Have you checked the drain for the condenser? It could be clogged.

The little clips that the whole cowl cover snaps into, yeah well they had no seam seal on them from the factory, as was the case for most of the weld area under it...
I covered everything in there with seam seal and also added some 3m weatherstrip adhesive to the grommets for the wiring coming into the dash. This and making sure the flapper valve under the cabin air filter is debris free has solved my leaking issue, but I had to replace the carpet from it. 40 years later and still leaky cowls.....

Do you have picture of the condenser? All cowl snaps are clean from debris. I still have the slashing sound and now it is driving me crazy.

I just had this happen yesterday (the sloshing sound). I also removed the cowl & checked the cabin air filter area & drain and they were both clear and dry. Everything inside the car is dry, floor, under the dash and inside the smart junction box panel as well.

ROFL- never thought about that :)

Anyone have any more info on this? I have this sound too, right behind the vents. I can hear it sloshing from side to side when I turn. The cowl under the hood where the cabin air filter is located is clean and dry so it's not that. Thanks for any help, pictures, info.
