Car takes 5W-20 is 5W-30 ok?

Question Car takes 5W-20 is 5W-30 ok?

Will it void warranty and is it ok?

Use what the manufacturer suggests. I live in an area where it gets to 115 in the summer and don't have any issues.

30 is lighter, so not doing as much protection, so I would definitely stick with what the manufacturer suggests. good luck

that's not really true. but i'm tired of this argument - there's plenty for both sides on this forum and elsewhere on the internet.
