I buy various gasoline, but have had bad luck with Mobile and Exxon, but only since the merger. Also, if you do not wish to buy gas from the Middle East, then Citgo is your choice. Only Latin American sources for them.

And remember: I will work for gas.

I have run 3 tanks of Sunoco because it is the most convenient station. Interesting topic.

is there a difference? i thought all gas (not referring to octane levels or anything, just gas stations in general) was the same? i mean, doesnt every gas company get their gas from similiar places?

Yep. All gas is blended to a specification and just because you buy gas at a Chevron station, doesn't mean it was blended at a Chevron refinery. The only difference between brands are the additives. In case any one wants to know how I know that, I work for one of those companies listed at the top.

I've had problems w/ Sunoco only in Jeeps(3)... coincidence(sp?) maybe, no problems with Sunoco for my Saturn... Being a NASCAR fan, I'm figuring it is worth a try.

I would have figured there would be bunch of discussions about what fuel is recommended... wanted to get some feedback from some Mustang Moms & Dads

In PA, w/ Sunoco having a large refinery not too far away, is it safe to say that most of South Eastern Pennsylvania's gas is from Sunoco? And with additives... which I think Amoco/BP is famous for... in certain gas, can it be harmful to sensors, injectors, etc.?

Depends on whether they can meet all the demand. I'm located in Texas but we blend gas for Florida and sometimes California.

At some point I understood that Chevron has additives that really help keep your engine clean. It might be the advertising but whatever it is, since I use the gas card I really dont think about stopping at any other gas stations.

All the brands have their particular additives and I believe Techron is a trade secret for Chevron but I don't think is that much of a difference between the brands. Just so you know, even though I work for a particular oil company, I don't always buy my employers brand because from what I've heard from our chemical engineers, it doesn't really matter that much.

I have a Sunoco card so thats what I use most often. But based on the pole most of you buy at "Whatever is cheapest" I'm going to look for some of them around here. I have never seen that brand before. Around here its Sunoco, Mobile, Hess or "Whatever they can grab you for". Never seen or heard of "Whatever is cheapest" but I'll be looking for one.
