Which is the best version of the 05-09 Mustang?

I'm just curious as to what the enthusiast crowd believes... I may have missed some minor limited mustangs but the gist of it is there, if you feel another deserves a nod mention it below.

Take into consideration, you can option it out any way you want UP TO factory options. NO aftermarket add ons. Only how you could order it. Take into consideration looks, price, driver experience, and how it served the mustang community.

Bang for the buck GT/CS. Performance White Convertible. Probably the most fun for the least investment and definitely something people remember.

My 1st thought is the GT Deluxe as it brought the Mustang back as a really cool, retro inspired muscle car that people could afford. 300 H.P.'s for under $25K if I remember right.

But, for the poll I had to vote The Bullitt. Slightly souped up stock, while still being true to both the heritage and the current model. Add in the collectability and it's a winner. If I was in the Mustang market when the Bullitt came out, that would be in my garage.

+1

I was torn between the CS and the GT500. The GT500 was the car I wanted until the "boss"
saw the price.

we dont have a bullitt, but I had to give it the nod...the clean grille, a bit more power, nice package.

I have mixed feelings- have a pair of gt deluxe sticks that I still think were the most bang for the buck ever put out there, but most folks would want the nicer interior, etc...the CS is cool too, just personally like the bullitt just a tad more...probably solely due to a movie I saw when I was 6 that hooked me on fastback Mustangs

should add- the most important Mustang in the 05-09 range is probably the V6- maybe the pony upgrade- they were Fords bread and butter volume models that paved the way for bigger better engines without skewing the CAFE stuff, etc...they are all just very good cars that are VERY fun to drive, that happen to be affordable, and look terriffic...lets hope the affordable part dont get lost down the road, volume is whats kept the mustang around all these decades...4 passenger/2 door/small trunk/any other thing that might make a sale difficult for a model, its thrived for 4 1/2 decades anyway. Fun/afordable/looks great are equally important, and Fords done pretty well so far at that- the 05 was oddly responsible for bringing back the ponycar wars, even during record gas prices, even though things like the GTO could whoop on it...but no other car out there had the 3 necessities that have kept the Mustang market alive all these years. The GTO was a great car- but I didnt care for the looks, nor the pricetag, enough to stop and look at one, let alone buy one...

Blue Dan Gurney Saleen is my favorite '05-'09 Mustang, but I like all the choices above as well . . .

I selected the Parnelli Jones because IMO it still is one of the few legitimate SE's. The CS is extremely well done and would be my pick for the best bang for your buck and whats going to be worth something down the road.

The KR is a beast, and just make me grin whenever I drive it, but best value, and best daily driver vote goes to the Bullitt.
