This being my first stang and first ford, i have noticed some annoying things with the placement of the starter(where you put the keys)

It seems too low. For the first couple of weeks I kept scratching the steering column when I would go to put the keys in. (About 2 inches lower than my old olds.) Also it seems that the keys hang too low and tend to ride on my right knee if I have any other keys attached. Kind of annoying. At first I thought it was that I had the seat too far forwards, but if I move it back more I can't totally depress the clutch. Anyways was wondering if anyone else has noticed this. Not that theres anything we can do about it.

Yeah, same thing happens to me. I ride pretty close to the wheel, too. It's real annoying if you're in shorts. But what're you gonna do?

Haven't noticed it, but I keep the seat all the way back.

I've noticed it...I'm 6'2" and have a lanyard on my keys. It gets annoying sometimes but I forget about it once the air starts getting stinked in while topping 2nd gear .

I notice that too! What I do is flip my key ring over.
No big deal.
Happy Trails!!! B)

I noticed that right away, I'm not too fond of keys on my knee, but I guess I forget about it after after I start driving.

Is it hitting your left knee? Your right knee? or your hiknee?

Yeah, that would look cool, but probably alot of dash scratches to go with it. I think alot of the vehicles I've had over the years, have the keys touching the knee thing (column key slot), but it's no big deal to me.........especially when it's in '300 horses' models.

Seems to be lots of room from this pic.

Maybe a small keyring would help?

that's a cool picture, do you know if there is a version without the mach1? I have one for 35th anniversary that I am using, but I wonder if there is a newer version

Don't feel bad my knees constantly hit the keychain. It's annoying.

My last car was the same way. In the photo above the person does not have their foot on the gas so the keys not dangling on the leg. I have a half inch ring that holds only my key and the remote fob, it still touched my leg. Not a big deal but I really much preferred the old dash ignition set up.

Yup it also bugged me. I did think about the tilt but left it so I can see the dash instruments , so I then put a shorter ring on key/fob and only keep it as car key only, seems to help. sure beat bumping key and shutting off do you think that could happen ?
