Looked at Ford Direct this weekend and found that Earnhardt Ford on Rural and Baseline had a bunch of Mustang's. I called and spoke to a salesman named Doug, who stated that they were coming in Monday and Tuesday. They were expecting 2 Black GT's (1 with ICAP, 1 with Parchment) and 1 Windveil GT. The black with ICAP was already sold, I said put me down for the Parchment.
I just got a call from Doug (11/8/04 at 6PM AZ time) who stated that they received the black GT with ICAP tonight, and the deal fell through so it's available. He also said they have a Maroon GT, but he hasn't seen it yet. So if anyone is interested, go to Earnhardt Ford at Rural and Baseline in Tempe and pick it up!

PS - take a little time negotiating because I am driving out there in about an hour to look at it (no I'm not driving it, I'm not purchasing that car).

That's true for alot of dealers. With that said, I've purchased my last 3 vehicles there. Consumer education is worth alot these days, especially when dealing with a hyped vehicle such as the Mustang.

The Earnhardt dealer on ray and i-10 has a black gt and had a blue v6 (sold). The problem with them, is that want a huge markup on the car, when i got my 2001 gt, they were asking 8k over msrp for it (didnt end up paying it). They've had it in front of their double door entrance for about a week now.

I bought my Black 05 GT from the Earnhardt on Ray last week. Since I had made an order already, my sales person took the markup down. I like them at Earnhardt, they are nice, and it is a nice facility. Plus, the car was awesome.

My bad, the location is Ray Rd. and I 10, NOT Rural and Baseline.
They have 1 White V6, 1 Maroon V6, 1 Torch Red GT (sold), and 1 Black GT with ICAP. They are selling at MSRP.
I sat in the Maroon V6 (keys for the GT were locked up for the night, I got there 5 mins before closing). Without the IUP, it feels cheap, but that's just me. The IUP looks great (at least through the window).
Seats feel great, my wife thinks the car sits too low. I was surprised at how high the hood was from behind the wheel. The cowl on that car must go 2"-3" above the valley where the wipers are. I can't imagine trying to see over an aftermarket hood with a scoop. Great rear view as well, I thought for sure there would be a huge blindspot, but I was not disappointed.
