Would anyone else buy a 97 Cobra with 91,000 miles? I have a clean carfax, it's from Texas originally so it has no rust, and I've seen pictures, and the guy selling seems to be extremely helpful. What would everyone do? And I'm going to be trading my 96 V6 coupe to him plus $5000 which seemed like a darn good deal to me. Any help would be great!

:werd:

91,000 is nothing.

I've got 130k+ on the 96 and its still going strong. Just keep up with regular maintence and wear items and it will be a great car for you. Plus a 4.6L 32v is a WORLD of difference from the 3.8

if anyone knows of a 96-98 Cobra for sale... let me know

Autotrader is how I found my car.

mstng351 6/20/05 05:59 PM

i've been looking everywhere for a long time... on here, autotrader, ebay, magazines and newspapers... even stangnet classifieds... nothing so far... im picky though, so that's probably why

-no black ext.
-must be black int.
-nothing over 100k miles
-under/at $10k

i dont want to spend money on a car that i dont completely like though, so it works out in the long run... i hope...

mustangfun101 6/20/05 06:09 PM

Be picky, I was and I got a good deal. Good Luck!

Thanks! I appreciate the encouragement and help! Whenever I get the new car, pictures will be posted almost instantly!

The car u were looking at, the 97 cobra. My uncle just sold one that needed a lil bit of motor work for 5800 dollars. It was mint. You should of told me sooner.

mstng351 6/20/05 11:25 PM

eh, im not looking to really have anything to fix on a car that im going to buy... but that does sound like an amazing deal

conv_stang 6/23/05 04:25 PM

just keep a look out. they will be popping up as more and more people get the new body style. and as people get ready to try and get a new shelby. dont worry, youll find one for a better price lower miles

Fordracing200 6/24/05 02:44 PM

I seriously think you are crazy trying to find a car that cheap with such low of miles. You should just go for the high mileage cars, they are still dependable, but they ae cheaper.
