Newbie alert !!!

Just joined this forum because I recently purchased an 02 Mustang GT conv. and am awaiting delivery. It is a one owner and has 72K mi. Laser red with tan int and a 5 spd. He has done a lot of mods and that is my question. Approx how much HP would these mods he has done increase HP? Here goes
1. Magnaflow magnapack cat back w/x pipe
2. JLT ram air intake
3. C & L intake plenium
4. SCT X3 power flash tuner
5. 4:30 ring gear

Appreciate any feedback. Thanks Paul

The tune is where the power increase is, but it really depends on the tune. Its hard to guess numbers without knowing the tune. Its probably a decent increase however.

Hi, welcome. I agree with 1999Pony. The HP/torque will depend on the tune.

It is programmed with the 93 octane racing program.

290-300 guesstimation, American muscle actually did a dyno run with a 02 GT with only a tune and ram air intake. Can't remember the results but the video is somewhere on these interwebs.

With only mid-pipe, catback, cai, and a tune...... Realistic numbers are closer to 250-260rwhp.

I am making from my 02 gt with o/r h pipe exhaust and cold air intake 257hp and 290 tq no tune but if I was going to tune it I would go to aem website and get their piggy back system and it let's you control spark advance timing and air and fuel ratio. A cookie cutter tune isn't as precise as the piggy back system will be cause it is set up specifically for your car but how much you make all depends on your set ie pipe size how accurate the person was writing your tune for and so on and so fourth it wouldn't hurt buying some dyno time and getting it spot on tuned

I wouldn't expect more than 240-250 out of it. These 2Vs don't respond that well to mods like the 4v engines.

I agree, was talking 290-300 at the crank.
