Well my search is over. I'd like to thank everyone in this forum for giving their advice and sharing their experiences.

In case you didn't know I graduated from college a few months ago, and wanted to reward myself with a used Stang. I looked at all different kinds of foxes, 94-95s, 96-98s, and 99-02s. Each had their advantages and disadvantages. For what I was looking for I had narrowed my choices to the 94-95s and 99-00s.

I had actually found this Mustang by a mistake. I was looking through the classifieds at a site called "Lone Star Stangs". Later I fell upon a topic mentioning that a website called "Austin Area Stangs" was boycotting a business for some reason. I decided to check out the "Austin Area Stangs" site, and saw the classified and BOOM  I knew that was the Mustang I wanted.

It was priced around KBB value, plus a upgraded stereo, SCT tune, exhaust, and lowered. It was a private seller who was the original owner. He's in the military so the car wasn't being used that much. My friend who was a car dealer for 20 years gave me the :nice: . So I made a pitch, and it was done!

My First: American, V8, Ford, Red, 5 speed(I own a 6 speed), Mustang, GT car. Killed a lot of birds with that stone.

Now to avoid a:

i recently bought a 2000 gt coupe, but with an auto, yours looks great lowered, i have been thinking about doing that to mine. but anyway nice car man

Fordracing200 7/31/05 07:08 PM

Sweet car, would be gorgeous with some black deep dish bullits

He had some small Superman stickers under the GT logos.......those were a pain to remove.

Like I said, he had it listed below KBB value(clear title...no wrecks/accidents). Since there was tree sap all over the right headlight, he knocked some more off the price. So now I'm looking at a new set of GT headlights. Not sure if I want GT, clear, or smoked headlights.

Here are some more pics:

Thanks, and your 'old school' Cobra's pretty sweet too.

81K....apparently he only put 2K within the last year. Most were highway from Austin TX to Yuma AZ...between military locations. His wife had a car, and the military gave him a rental car......so the Stang just sat there. That's why he needed to sell.

2 more pics!

Yea I'm wondering if I should raise it just a little as I have plans for an X-pipe. I'm considering the Ford Racing Springs......the "C"s or something like that. Along with putting on some 18's. We'll see! :-D

Fordracing200 8/2/05 07:19 AM

you should go with the smoked 01-04 GT headlights

Ballz 8/3/05 04:12 PM

I'd go with the smoked headlights myself. Always makes me a little sad when I see a Stang's headlights like that.

I was actually considering some chrome FR500 replicas. Either 17's or 18's...both are deep dish.

I'm shocked  you didn't suggest the Cobra rims. :jester:
