NEED HELP!!
 

I have an 02 GT and my front passenger side tire wears our almost instantly. i had an alignment done and they pointed out my lower control arm bushings. i replaced them and its still doing the same thing. I also replaced the hub assembly along with the ball joint and tie rod. The tire wears out on the very inside down to the wire while the rest of the tire is still in good shape. any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a toe out problem. Did you have the car re-aligned after replacing the control arm bushings?

Thanks for the reply but the guy that done the alignment said he couldn't fully get it lined up. the bushings wasnt really bad. I will take it back up there sometime this week.

yes it has and it was done before i got it

Check out different lowering kits on line, they may recommend a type of (I believe) camber plates or kits to allow for more adjustment when a car is lowered.

could i possibly get the lowering plates without buying the whole kit?

Are you the original owner? If not, how long have you had the car?

If the mechanic says he can't get it aligned, take the car to a reputable auto body shop and have them check for evidence of structural damage that may have been repaired improperly. If there is unibody misalignment no amount of suspension modifications will correct your problem.

You just have to look and see if you can get just the plates.

get caster camber plates and make sure they know its been lowered and they should be able to align it better. lowering them without caster camber plates will wear the hell out of the inside of the front tires

Absolutely need the plates. The stock 'adjustments' don't go far enough to line up the cars when they've been lowered. A C/C plate kit like the one from Maximum Motorsports is easy to install and helps wonderfully.
