Thanks for stopping by TBK. No plans for any kind of boost now or later for that matter. Do you have any idea how much hp I would gain going to say 10:1?

No not really depends on who builds your tune. If you plan on staying na. Try going 11 to 1. And I would get a forged crank out of a cobra if I were you. Much more durable and can withstand rpms over 7500.

Well I ended up staying with the stock pistons/rods and had the crank turned. New over sized rod and crank bearings. I got a free gaskit kit from a friend = nice. I ordered a high flow oil pump from american muscle for 45 bucks free shipping. A pretty good deal if I do say so myself. I ordered remaned heads from a ebay vendor.

we shall see how well they work out. I'm waiting for the oil pump should be here today and I can finish throwing the bottom end together. The heads should be at my house friday.
Does anyone know how to clean the injectors or should I look into a new set or not worry about it?

Put the objectors in a tub off gas and lot them sit for a while.

I think an objector is a plugged up injector, they object to injecting fuel. You put them in gas and threaten to light it unless they straighten up and start injecting.

so I fired her up the other day. Seemed to run pretty good I think I got the timing right but I do/did have a small water leak. Drivers side head top front corner under the alt.Between the head and the block. That is an area I believe I was supposed to use gasket sealer. I did use it but must have missed a spot or I have the wrong head gaskets or something else?? Any ideas I did dry the area with air and forced some gasket sealer in there, but I'm thinking I may have done something wrong or left a oring out...

Might just need to get it hot and let the gasket seal itself.. sometime gaskets need to get hot and swell into the gap. Just make sure you dont use stop leak!

why do I have to tq the head bolts to 30 lbs then tighten them another 90 degrees then loosen them at least 1 turn then do it all again then tighten them another 90 degrees. Why do I have to loosen them and redo it?

It centers the head on the block all the way and seats the gasket in the correct place. Make sure not to use the head bolts twice.

Dam you have been lucky... You are never supposed to use a torque to yield bolt twice... I wouldn't risk it.
