Well, I was driving down the highway yesterday and I saw a 2001-2003 black V6 type mustang coming toward me. I don't think I have ever seen a black mustang come right toward me before. For some reason it was very menacing looking. It was great. I had already planned to get an 04 V8 instead of an 05 V6 black, but now I am sure. It looked so cool. Black mustangs are the way to go in my opinion.

 

Black is an awesome color, but be prepared to wash it constantly, and be prepared to notice every ding/scratch on the car.

 

Dark colored cars are a nightmare to keep clean and scratch free, but man do they look gorgeous once they are clean. Good luck

 

I've had two black cars, and they look beautiful but as others have mentioned they are very hard to keep clean. But it's your money and your time, so did whatever will make happiest.

 

I believe that the 02-04 mustang has a great looking body style. I liked it so much that I bought two of them. My current is a black convertible GT Centennial edition.

With top down or up, the car looks like it wants to fly away. It looks fast. I think that Black gets you that look. No other color makes the car look pure evil. Now if you tint the windows you get even more evil looking.

That said. I clean my car whenever it is not raining. I spot every blemish, chip, or dirt spot easily. My trunk looks like I work for "CAR CRAZY, Meguires", but when it is clean and polished folks comment on it and it turns heads.

 

If I can get my mustang, I can guarantee that I will wash it A LOT! If I were lucky enough to find one I like, I would be outside all the time cleaning it.

 

Take a long ride to Virginia and you will find a black Mustang. Too many stangs on the lots. I was over Jerrys Ford the other day and they had some 03 and many 04 stangs on the lot.

 

Best is a Black Mustang with tinted windows and the pony removed from the front -- looks like a Hound from hello coming right atcha'

 

Yes, there is no luv for a black mustang. It will break your heart and in a jealous fit of rage you to will eventually torment those who possess such things with your anti-black paint hatred.

Or at least thats what I think causes all those dents in my poor black GT. 2 weeks after I bought it some caring individual smashed a door into the driver side brake scoop, several months later the neighbors dinged up the passenger side rear wheel flare. A year and a half some kid decided to put his bumper under my gas tank and ding up the passenger side front fender, and now some cretin decided a nice smug of white paint on my less than a year old rear bumper cover was just the sort of customization I was looking for.

Its frustrating to the point that I really want to use C4 body putty.

However I have a plan, I'm gonna buy something pretty worthless to me (a black camaro) and use it for a daily driver. I'll feel good about it because in my own small way I know I will be helping those poor distressed souls who need to vent on something painted black.

 

I love my black 98 gt with dark tinted windows. I agree Black, is the way to go with a mustang.

 

i have always wanted black but somehow i always end up with something else... now it is time to order my 05 and even though I really like black, mineral grey and satin silver look good too.
