2001 Cobra

See, here is a nice stock, low miles 2001 Mustang Cobra. No ugly mods, well cared for.

And hey-look at the price. Some people actually glance at the market conditions before choosing a price for their vehicle.

:banana2:

i hate 01 and 99 cobras, 03-04 are much better. 15k reserfve NOT met is a wicked high price because u can get a brand new mach 1 for 23k at a dealer now.

IIGood 4/10/05 05:07 PM

Did the '01s have those side scoops on them?

EDIT: Guess so...hm. Thought they switched them over to the larger scoops like the GTs. My faux pas.

Just out of curiosity, why do you hate them? :dunno:

Fordracing200 4/10/05 06:07 PM

the 01 had motor trouble, thats why they were pulled, good looking though. The 01 also had a Trememec T-45, the 03 had the much stronger T-56. The 01 is kind of rare because production was stopped so SVT could take some time off to investigate and fix some issues. I also heard in a thread awhile back it was way overrated in power numbers.

Swish 4/10/05 06:30 PM

I always thought the problems with the cobras occured in 1999 when they were putting less power to the ground than a GT. So Svt didnt produce the cobras in 2000, or possibly very limited in 2000(not sure though), and then they came back ready to go in 01. At least thats the only major problems with the cobras I ever heard of, I dont know if there was another set of problems in 01.

There were Cobras by SVT in 2000, but that was Cobra R.

I don't like 99, 01 and 02 Cobra either. They could be easily outrun by Camaro SS and Trans Am WS6.

Zastava_101 4/11/05 01:14 AM

Arin, that Cobra probably have a lot of miles.
Its hard to beleive that car like that went from $33,000 to $18,000 in 1 year.

PearBear 4/11/05 06:09 AM

only in austrailia. check the timeline for pics. it has fugly foglights, and side blinker lights. and a cobras a cobra. theres a heck of a difference between 15000 for a 2001, and the 25000 i paid for the 03. id say its a good deal.

That Mach 1 is not brand new with 0 miles on the lot though. I don't think you'll find one anymore.

Classifieds probably failed to mention a wreck or two.

They just wanna bait you into the dealership.
